Hi, I’m someone who got revision rhinoplasty at a plastic surgery clinic in ㅇㅇ and ended up in serious trouble! As you can see, the columellar cartilage is protruding really noticeably, right? I’ve been living with this, and people have even asked me why I’m walking around with a booger on my nose.
Originally, when I was in 11th grade, I had my hump shaved down, something inserted into the nasal bridge, and a support strut placed between the cartilages and tied together. I was satisfied up until then. But starting almost 6 years later, I felt like my nasal tip was drooping and that it looked blunt overall, so I asked the same hospital for aftercare/a revision, and they said they would harvest cartilage from my ear and place it on the nasal tip. The price was in the 500,000 won range.
But around 3 months after surgery, it started protruding like that! So I went back and asked what had happened, and they said it seemed like the existing cartilage was protruding and suggested cutting it.
I was the idiot for believing that...
After cutting it, 3 months later it protruded again like this, and after that I was too busy for several months to go to the hospital. During that time, there wasn’t much visible difference...
Last December, I finally had some time and contacted the hospital, but they only replied that treatment was difficult because there had been a fire, and after that they haven’t even read my messages! I checked their website recently and it says they’re expanding and relocating.
At a glance, it really looks like a booger, so for me, working in customer service, it’s such a negative factor that makes me look so unappealing!!!! I feel like I’m going to lose my mind over it.

A: It seems this may be because the columellar cartilage is bent, but you need to have the hospital where you had surgery check why this happened. Other than that, we cannot provide guidance. If you want to resolve this, you would need revision surgery, not simply cutting it off.

It is difficult to give you an assessment based on photos alone. Even if the hospital where you had surgery had a fire or is expanding and relocating, they should still be reachable.
