Since I was young, my eyes were uneven, with one side having a double eyelid and the other not. Still, since I did have a double eyelid, I got by using double-eyelid tape or double-eyelid glue, but I wondered if I would have to keep using tape or glue forever. After thinking it over, I went to the plastic surgery clinic where my friend had gone, had a consultation, and proceeded right away. The director was kind and spoke honestly, so I felt even more reassured about getting it done. They said I didn’t need epicanthoplasty, and if I wanted my eyes to look a little bigger, they recommended doing just a very slight posterior canthoplasty. So I had posterior canthoplasty and the buried double-eyelid method under local anesthesia. They also took good care of me afterward, and there was almost no swelling. I had been worried because it was the buried method, but even now, 2 years later, I rub my eyes, wash, do makeup, and rub them as usual, and it hasn’t come undone, so I’m satisfied.
