Before<Surgery before><Day 10 after surgery><Day 20 after surgery>I had incisional upper eyelid ptosis correction and double eyelid surgery with Director Jang Yu-jin at Premier Plastic Surgery near Gangnam Station. My eyelids were heavy, so I used my forehead muscles to open my eyes, which made my eyes tired and felt stuffy. Since the eyes affect one’s impression a lot and I couldn’t imagine how I’d look with double eyelids, I kept putting it off until I finally worked up the courage to do it. As everyone probably feels, choosing a clinic was really, really hard. Whenever I went for consultations, they 100% recommended an incision for my eyes, so I looked for a doctor who specialized in incisional surgery, had a youthful sense of aesthetics, and had lots of surgical experience. People around me said that if it was done too naturally it would loosen, and told me to make it look more open, so I looked for a place that was reviewed as slightly glamorous. I brought photos of the eyes I wanted, but the doctor said a high line probably wouldn’t suit me and found a line that harmonized with my face. At the end, they reassured me that my eyes would look pretty with double eyelids, so I was able to go into surgery with confidence. During the surgery, I talked with the doctor and kept opening and closing my eyes while they operated carefully, stitch by stitch. The sound of fat being cauterized and the thread moving back and forth were a little scary, but I was able to have the surgery comfortably without pain. It’s now day 20, and even though I wear a mask and only my eyes show, acquaintances ask what changed but can’t tell I had surgery. The swelling is also not too bad, and the line came out clean, so I’m satisfied~ When I went to have the stitches removed, they said I need to practice opening my eyes with eye strength so they don’t become uneven, so I’ve been diligently opening my eyes wide^^ My upper eyelids still feel a bit numb and tingling, but I hope they settle quickly so I can do pretty makeup!
