I have heard people say that my face seemed too wide, too. Every time I took photos, my wide face was something I worried about a lot. As soon as I turned 20, I kept telling myself I would definitely have contouring surgery. So when 2025 came and I finally turned 20, I went ahead with the contouring surgery.
I looked at reviews on Babytok and found one I liked about the cosmetic surgery clinic I visited. Based on that review, I had contour consultations with the senior staff member and the surgeon. The senior staff member was kind, and explained very clearly, so I came to trust them. I also really liked that the lead surgeon, with confidence, detailedly discussed my current condition and the surgical method with me. I paid the deposit that same day and left.
After the surgery, when the surgeon checked my progress, he/she looked at everything one by one to see if anything was uncomfortable, and spoke to me in a friendly way, so mentally I felt at ease too.
The hospital staff were also very kind. Especially when I stayed for one day, I had a hard time going without a guardian, but the staff checked every one or two hours whether I was okay, and I saw them diligently changing my dressing. Thinking that the medical staff were always by my side made me feel safe, so I feel I was able to stay calmly and be discharged.
There was pain on the first day and the second day, but not after that. During daily life, it was very hard that my mouth would not open when eating, brushing my teeth, or smiling. Because there is an incision and sutures inside the mouth, I felt uneasy, worrying that food might cause inflammation.
Still, over time, I learned how to manage it and gradually recovered, so the discomfort in daily life seemed to disappear little by little.
The jawline definitely changed clearly into a visible V-line. Even though there is still too much swelling in my square jaw, my face still looks the same as before surgery, so I wonder how much smaller it will become once the swelling goes down even more.
Before, if I pressed my jaw, I could always feel only bone, but now, even when I press hard, the bone is not palpable and it feels soft and squishy, Even though it is only the first month, this is already the effect. I hope time passes quickly and the swelling decreases soon.
This is a surgical review that aims for a natural look.
