I barely even remember when I had square jaw surgery The hardest moment after surgery was right after waking up from general anesthesia... It hurt so much I thought I was going to die, like my head was splitting in two. I think this was more from the aftereffects of general anesthesia than from shaving the bone It probably differs from person to person. I remember feeling like I was going to die and kept asking them to give me painkillers.... It was like that for a day, and after that it was bearable. The swelling wasn’t severe either, so a week later I met a friend while pretending nothing had happened and even lied, saying I was swollen because I was sick. And now I think it’s been about 8 years since the surgery, and I don’t regret it. I don’t really have any side effects and I’m satisfied! But sometimes my jaw tingles and hurts, and when I laugh with my mouth open wide, my jaw hurts a bit.. Also, over time I developed a slight double chin, but I’m not sure if that’s sagging. Since getting square jaw surgery, I’ve been considering cheekbone surgery. I want to get free from my obsession with my face shape Having an ugly face shape with severe asymmetry is so sad. Anyway, if square jaw surgery is for a real complex, I personally think it’s okay to do it.
