Actually, I had double eyelid surgery and under-eye fat repositioning together, but the double eyelids are still in the process of settling into the line, so I'm thinking of watching them a bit more before talking about them. (I think with any cosmetic surgery, you shouldn't say too hastily that you like it.) But for under-eye fat repositioning, they say you can tell right away within just 1-2 weeks whether it succeeded or failed, and at this point my satisfaction is pretty high, so I'm posting.
Because of the fat under my eyes, I had really big concerns about under-eye dark circles.. looking dark, and my complexion? my impression. At first I was going to do it together with fat grafting, but after getting a consultation at a hospital that specializes only in eye surgery, I was told that in my eyes, the fat itself wasn't sunken in, (and it's not that there was a lot of it either xx) but the fat was clustered in places where it wasn't needed, so repositioning was exactly the right surgical method.
So I didn't additionally do fat grafting, removal, or anything else, and ended up having surgery only with repositioning, you know? Before doing it, people around me kept saying repositioning has no effect... it's the same whether you do it or not... They kept saying things like that, so I wondered, is this just plastic surgery clinic sales talk.. is it really better not to do it? But still, during the consultation, I had a sense of certainty from what I heard at this hospital, so I went through with it thinking I should trust them and have the surgery, and I think that came out in the current surgical result. It was repositioned cleanly, so I'm really satisfied.
But this is my case, and everyone's eyes are in different conditions, so I hope you definitely get a consultation before deciding. And if you ask about the cost too, I can tell you, but prices differ by person, so just take it as a reference.. I think the best thing is to do all the legwork yourself and choose carefully. Still, if you want to proceed without too much difficulty, even if it's your first surgery, I recommend starting with places famous for revision surgery. (Places that are good at revision surgery have a high chance of being good at detailed eye-area surgeries.)
