I’ll share my thoughts now that it’s been 4 months since I had revision surgery because of a drooping nasal tip. I liked my nose height and shape, but when viewed from the side, the way the nasal tip drooped was always something I was unhappy with. Other people told me to just live with it, but every time I looked in the mirror, only my nasal tip stood out to me, and my confidence in my appearance kept dropping, so I thought, this won’t do, you know? Then a friend told me that these days, people also get surgery on just the nasal tip, so I went around for consultations at a few places. At one clinic, they said it couldn’t be done with only the nasal tip and that a full revision surgery was needed, but I didn’t want to go through such a major procedure.
The director at the clinic where I had surgery said that the shape and height suited my face well, so if I liked them, there was no need to operate unnecessarily, and suggested surgery in a way that would lift the drooping nasal tip and columella that I was concerned about. There was no consultation fee, but I had a CT scan, and I think the consultation with the director alone lasted about 20 minutes? (It’s been quite a while since the consultation, so my memory isn’t exact, but anyway, it was very long, detailed, and thorough.) The surgery fee was for a nasal-tip-only revision, but maybe because it was only the nasal tip, it wasn’t very high, so it felt less burdensome too~!
The director personally removed the cotton packing and the splint, and at the 1-month and 3-month follow-ups, the director personally checked everything too~! There was some swelling until about one month, but honestly, I think I lived without any particular discomfort in daily life. Since the nasal tip is definitely lifted now, from any angle it looks so pretty, and the line is smooth and pretty too, right?
