One side is undercorrected after ptosis correction. The director said it would be okay to do only one eye, but that the scar would need to be excised. When I said I don’t have extra skin, they said then are you going to keep living with uneven eyes like that.. and said excision is necessary. I liked that the director personally took several photos during the consultation, then carefully explained while comparing the pupils and line symmetry on the monitor with a ruler. When I said I was worried about surgery on only one side, they said Hering’s law doesn’t happen to everyone, that even doing both sides can result in uneven eyes, and that to match uneven eyes, I would have to accept that the eye may not close completely…
