After <current> Before <before surgery> After <day 4-5> The only time I had ever had a scalpel touch my face in my life was double eyelid surgery. My eyes were not exactly small and narrow, but I wanted the outer corners of my eyes to be a little more opened up, so I kept it in mind for about a year. I looked up two or three places online through Gangnam Unni, and one day Barabon Plastic Surgery caught my eye. Without even reading the reviews, my intuition pointed me there, so I immediately inquired via KakaoTalk and scheduled an in-person consultation and surgery for the same day two weeks later.
As soon as I arrived, the consultant was kind and attentive, and carefully checked how much my eyes could be opened. I had consulted through KakaoTalk and heard there was something called Animalgram? but I did not get to check that. We talked about how my right and left eyes were uneven and whether that could be improved a little. Director Oh Hyun-bae came in, we talked, and then I changed clothes and went straight into the operating room.
There was a separate anesthesiologist? and they did not start anesthesia until the director came in. They inserted the IV without making it hurt. The anesthesiologist looked a little stern, so I was slightly nervous, but I could feel that they were taking good care of me. The design was also done meticulously while I was lying in the operating room. The surgery was done under sedation anesthesia, so it felt like it was over in an instant.
They separately sent me the precautions and things to be careful about after lateral canthoplasty via KakaoTalk. Surprisingly, after surgery, I did not have much pain. There was a little tightness, but as long as I took my medication well and used my eye drops properly, there was no major discomfort. I did not develop severe conjunctival edema either, and my swelling went down very quickly! It may vary from person to person, but when I visited to have the stitches removed, they said I had very little swelling, so I think I did start wearing makeup a little earlier hehe.
Even when the stitches were removed, it did not hurt at all, to the point that I wondered whether they were actually removing them or not. Even now, I do feel a bit greedy and wish they had opened them a little more, but people around me gave me so many compliments, saying my eyes got bigger so naturally that they could not tell I had lateral canthoplasty hehe. Director Oh Hyun-bae also said it turned out very well, that natural-looking results are best, and when I got greedy, he firmly told me he would not open them any more!
Plastic surgeons often tend to overlook moderation, but I trusted Director Oh Hyun-bae a lot because he performed the canthoplasty to the exact degree that suited me best. The consultants and staff were also kind. When I looked at canthoplasty reviews from other hospitals, the scars were very noticeable and it was obvious they had lateral canthoplasty when bare-faced, so I was worried, but for me, even with no makeup, the marks or signs? of lateral canthoplasty were not very visible. Of course, my satisfaction with the surgery is the highest.
It looks natural but prettier, and instead of searching online and visiting other places, I absolutely highly recommend Barabon Plastic Surgery for lateral canthoplasty. They told me it would not reattach later, but if I see any sign of that, I plan to visit Director Oh Hyun-bae again hehe. This was my first surgery paid for with my own money, and I strongly give it five out of five stars! It is a hospital I want to keep to myself, but I am writing this review sincerely. I hope the staff and Director Oh Hyun-bae are always happy. Please always stay healthy :)
