Before surgery / before surgery / before surgery, early post-op / 2 weeks post-op / 3 weeks post-op / one month post-op / two months post-op: there are many reviews saying lower-incision seems less painful, but. For me, as a lower-incision patient, it was not "I’m not hurting at all". At first I couldn’t really remember much with my eyes open, and from the time I got home I felt it start hurting,.
But I dug through lots of reviews on cafe apps and worked on this a lot before going in. I was really not just doing it casually. They said if you take Tylenol in the middle as needed, you can get through the beginning without any crisis, so before the pain even got severe I kept taking it repeatedly. Seriously. Maybe that’s why I got over it this fast.
At the beginning, for the first three days I couldn’t really do anything, like my bones were going to break, and I even felt that the scalp oil from my hair care would give me tiny pimples on my forehead. Even if someone offered to help, I didn’t even dare to sit up, and I had no mind to even go to the salon,. If you’re in service work or use your arms a lot, I’d suggest taking at least 5 days to a week off.
But it’s very person-dependent… if you’re not someone with super recovery like a hero, I wonder if you can do it. So if you do service work or use your arms, maybe consider lower-incision.
Anyway, I was going to take more photos on the first day, but I didn’t even remember taking them lying down, and only realized it later when I saw the album. When I saw how my chest looked between the loosened bra straps, it really looked bigger somehow — honestly it was surprising and also good.
After 3 weeks to a month, there wasn’t much discomfort, but I’m still being careful. From two months onward, even in a bikini, it didn’t show at all,. But the shape is a bit round/ptotic, so keep that in mind. They say it gradually drops down and the roundness becomes less, but I’m not at that stage yet. I kept taking all the prescribed antibiotics, didn’t drink, and avoided anything that might pressure the chest like lying on my stomach, etc..
Also, with general anesthesia, before anesthesia I was honestly really scared. Seeing nurses repeatedly checking heart rate with fingers while the anesthesia doctor came in, all the beeping sounds felt like they got faster and faster,. But once anesthesia came on, I slept right away in one go… I woke up and it was all done, with a deep sleep.
I still joined all those cafes and apps and gathered a lot of information before choosing. In one cafe, there were a lot of revision stories, which was very useful. The downside was many side-effect posts that worried me a lot, so maybe be careful. But in the end, it turned out successful.
