Ever since I was young, my low, wide bulbous nose was a complex for me. I had thought about surgery many times, but I hesitated because I was afraid it would change too artificially. In the end, I made a big decision and got my first nose surgery at Edition Plastic Surgery. I first came across Edition Plastic Surgery on Instagram, and the before-and-after rhinoplasty photos were exactly my style, so I booked a consultation right away. I decided impulsively, but looking at the result, it was a good choice with no regrets.
My nose was originally low and on the smaller side, so they explained in advance that I couldn’t expect a very high nose. Also, because my face shape is relatively wide horizontally, they advised that a natural and harmonious shape would suit me better than a pointy nose. The consultation was very kind and detailed, so I was able to decide with peace of mind.
Before surgery, it was so flat that you could almost say I had no glabella area. My philtrum protrudes slightly, but looking at my teeth alignment, my mouth actually isn’t protrusive. However, because my nose was so low, overall it looked like my mouth was protruding. So my face looked flat and lacked dimension.
And the post-op photos were taken one month later. There is still swelling at the nasal tip, and because of that it looks slightly upturned, but overall it became naturally higher. In person, there is quite a change, but what I like most is that it looks as if my nose had always been high. You can especially see that the nasolabial angle has clearly improved.
Looking from another angle too (3rd photo), you’ll probably feel that the glabella area has definitely come alive, making the face look more three-dimensional. The real-life impression is also closest to this photo.
As a result, I’m much more satisfied than before surgery, and I especially like that it has less of an artificial feel!
