I went for a consultation about total nasal implant/cartilage removal. I had surgery with silicone + ear cartilage + donated costal cartilage, and so far my nose has not had any major side effects.
He answers questions in detail, but he doesn’t seem like the type to give definite answers. When I asked about side effects after removal, such as columellar retraction or saddle nose, he said it was something he wouldn’t know until opening it up. But he explained one by one how he would handle those situations if they occurred, so I actually trusted him more than someone who seemed overly confident.
He said it would not return completely to my original nose, and he seemed to pursue safety.
It was a decent consultation, so I still haven’t made up my mind for sure.
