Just like in business they often recommend models with proven success stories, in cosmetic surgery they also tend to recommend implants that carry little risk in terms of results. (The point is that there is no aesthetic risk; that is separate from problems during maintenance.) However, because my nasal bridge is high and I have a slight hump, I personally thought that placing an implant at the same time as correcting the hump could cause inflammation later on. So I had been thinking of shaving down only the hump and leaving the bridge without an implant, while raising only the tip with cartilage. Because of that, my own thoughts differed a lot from the consultation opinion here, and after the consultation I gave up on the idea of surgery. (The consultant’s explanation of the surgical plan was quite detailed.) The consultation staff were kind, but compared with consultations at other plastic surgery clinics, the direction was a little different in terms of identifying the client’s needs.
