About 10 years ago, I had surgery with Gore-Tex + ear cartilage at a large hospital near Sinsa Station, and after 4–5 years, due to contracture of the nasal tip, I had revision surgery with the same doctor at the same hospital. For the revision surgery, I only had the nasal tip redone with dermis from my buttock. The incision scar on my nose disappeared after about a year, but the nose shape is bulky like a bulbous nose, and the area on my buttock where the dermis was taken was incised crookedly, so the scar looks bad. Before surgery, they said the scar would soon disappear too, but even now, 6 years later, it is darkly pigmented. I thought about getting scar laser treatment, but since the length is quite long, it costs at least 100,000–150,000 won each time, and even then, the dermatologist said it may or may not fade only after more than 20 sessions.. I simply went to look into double-eyelid surgery, but they said I should also get nose surgery, so that’s how I ended up getting rhinoplasty. Every time I go to a plastic surgery clinic, I really feel this: the managers are only desperate to push procedures to raise performance, and they completely overwhelm you to make you put down a deposit, but they never inform you about aftereffects like this. Whether it’s the doctor or the manager, once they receive the money and you have the surgery, their attitude completely changes. If you call to ask just one thing, they are so cold. I guess all of this is possible because the legal punishment is weak. The number of people getting cosmetic surgery is increasing day by day, and there are so many victims. I hope the government will establish legal sanctions for victims as soon as possible.
