Hi everyone, I’ll write casually in clipped style. I went around for consultations at about 4 places in total. Honestly, aside from two well-known places, I don’t really remember well, because I started consultation shopping on December 31, 2023 and had surgery in August 2024 First, I visited the first two famous places, B.R.Y and J.Y.J, and I had booked S.S.Y but couldn’t go. When I visited the two places, the director at J.Y.J was very kind, and B.R.Y had a big name and the hospital was also grand. First of all, both places recommended 3 types of facial contouring. Since after surgery I’d be in my 30s and my skin elasticity wouldn’t be high, they also suggested procedures such as facial-volume fat grafting and AccuSculpt. J.Y.J cost around the 9 million won range, and B.R.Y was over 10 million won. It was a considerable amount, and I was overweight at the time, so I thought the degree of change wouldn’t be large. I put it on hold to do it after dieting first, so I ultimately couldn’t go to S.S.Y. Time passed, and after successful dieting, my facial contours became clear, so I learned the problems with my face. First, it was long and too angular. If you see it positively, it’s masculine, but personally I wanted to make it softer, so even if I couldn’t become extremely handsome, I wanted a web-drama actor kind of vibe. So I visited hospitals once again. I revisited J.Y.J, and there was no difference in price range, but communication between my needs and the director didn’t go well. B.R.Y’s price range was way too out of reach, so I excluded revisiting. I tried to book S.S.Y again and go, but then I found out about O.P.S.T and visited. I consulted with the representative director, and unlike the directors at other hospitals, he caught my needs and consulted with me in detail. The issue was that my face was long, and my front chin wasn’t actually that unattractive in shape; because it was long, it looked relatively short, so that was why they had recommended shaving down even the front chin. But when viewed three-dimensionally, we decided not to do that, and ended the consultation with only 2 types: square jaw and cheekbones. The price range was high as expected, so I worried a lot. Since I had experience with rhinoplasty, when I thought about the importance of after-service and surgical safety, I decided to do it even if the cost was high. In the end, I did it at O.P.S.T, which is also highly well-known for facial contouring and two-jaw surgery. The recovery period itself was quick, but the downtime was long, so aside from feeling frustrated about returning to exercise, it was okay. It was my first time consultation shopping for plastic surgery, and there isn’t much information on men’s facial contouring, so it wasn’t easy. Doing everything at one place at once is cost-saving, but I felt it’s also important to find a place that matches your own needs well. For everyone considering facial contouring, I recommend looking into it and proceeding quickly. Personally, for men, I think the order is exercise -> skin care -> cosmetic surgery stage -> facial contouring & two-jaw surgery -> eyes & nose.
