First rhinoplasty.
Deviated septum + rhinitis
Non-incisional osteotomy for a wide nasal bridge. Nasal tip refinement
Around 3 to 6 months after surgery, the left side of my nasal bridge looked hollow,
and the color turned darker..
I visited that hospital..
They said the cartilage must have absorbed too well, causing it to look indented.
I scheduled my first revision surgery..
The surgical method was to harvest ear cartilage and place cartilage on the nasal bridge.
They said that if the previous amount was 100, they would fill it a bit more.
At the time, I did not feel anything was strange, and the present situation felt most important,
so I set a date right away and proceeded with surgery.
After the first revision surgery, when I checked my nose,
cartilage was protruding plumply on the left side.
A hump was also visible.
According to the doctor, if the original cartilage amount was 100,
it absorbs too well, so they put in 120 to 130 worth of cartilage.
Since it was after surgery, I started calculating it in my head..
Even if absorption is good, shouldn't they have put in around 105 to 115?
Why did they put in 20 to 30 more? Even if it absorbs well,
I felt like it would still be bumpy.... I became suspicious.. It really felt like they experimented on me.
Still, I waited, thinking it would be absorbed...
Around 4 months later, my nose looked crooked and even more bumpy.
I felt like there was no answer to this,
so I went back to the hospital
and said that I was truly going crazy and was under too much stress like this,
and scheduled a second revision surgery..
This time, when it came to making it smooth with cartilage,
I had lost trust and confidence in the doctor,
but there was no other method...... so in the end,
the plan was to open and incise, remove all the cartilage, and use silicone
just to make the nasal bridge smooth...
After the surgery... my nose looks completely crooked, like a C turning into an S shape....
ㅠㅠ I am scheduled to visit the hospital again this time..
I no longer even have the courage to get another revision surgery at this place,
and since a lawsuit would be absurdly long and difficult,
I am thinking of trying to reach an amicable settlement..
But even if I only get a refund of the surgery fee, I cannot get revision surgery elsewhere,
and considering the pain and time I went through, I even quit my job because of the surgery..
What should I do?
