Before <before surgery>Before <before surgery>After <after surgery>After <after surgery>If you look at my nose in the before photos, you’ll understand why I hesitated about surgery and kept wandering around with procedures only lol. My nose itself wasn’t re~~ally that ugly, and honestly, people around me were split between “Why would you get rhinoplasty?” vs. “It would look pretty even if you just corrected the hump.” And I was on the latter side, and since it was my own face, that obsession was even stronger.
I also have a lot of friends around me who have had plastic surgery, and I’d seen them struggle with revision surgery and aftercare because things failed, so I was scared to suddenly go through with surgery.. So I only got procedures 5 times, but hmm.. in conclusion, for the nose = surgery is the answer.. Seriously, if you have a hump like me, even more so, and the bone itself can’t be changed no matter how much you inject or put in with procedures. Honestly, if I could go back, I do think I should have just gotten surgery earlier with the money I spent on 5 procedures.
Anyway, because I’d seen so much around me, when I looked into clinics, I passed on all the irresponsible ones.. So I filtered out all the large clinics. And just because it’s a private clinic doesn’t guarantee they’re all meticulous either lol. I thought I should get consultations myself and do it at a clinic where I felt truly certain, so I went around to 3 places for consultations and ultimately decided to do it at Marble.. This was the last place I consulted at, and I had almost 20 minutes of consultation with the director alone, you know? When I told my friends this, they all said it was amazing because they said they came out from other places without even getting 3 minutes of explanation.. Honestly, I also wondered how I could entrust my face to a place like that and get surgery there It also made me realize again how important it is to communicate well with the director.
And no matter how well communication goes, if the aftercare and results aren’t satisfying, it’s all useless, right? Here, they also provided good postoperative care like SmartLux, so I really liked that. I was relieved it wasn’t a clinic that just did the surgery and then acted like they didn’t know me..
Silicone was used for the nasal bridge, and septal cartilage and ear cartilage were used for the nasal tip. The director said that since it was my first surgery and I had enough septal cartilage, there was no particular reason to use costal cartilage. (I liked that he didn’t excessively recommend materials.) And because my hump was severe, I had lateral osteotomy, and I really think it was such a good decision to do this. After I had it done, I looked at my nasal bridge and it was so smooth with no step-off.. This is why I think experience can’t be ignored.
After surgery, I wanted exactly >>a refined straight-to-slightly-curved nose that wasn’t excessive<<, and the Marble director made it happen just like that. I’d been really stressed about my nose since I was young, but now I feel like I’m free.. It feels refreshing too lol. Everyone, don’t take the long way around because of procedures like I did. If you’re seriously debating procedures vs. surgery because of your nose, I hope you first go around for surgical consultations. For bone issues, surgery really is the answer..
