I went to two places for under-eye fat repositioning consultations~ through the snow.. 1. ㅅㅍㄹㅅ (Director ㄱㅇㅅ) consultation fee free / reservation deposit 50,000 won I went because it’s a clinic I always see on the app. Hmm……I’m not sure why the atmosphere is famous? I don’t know if they’re good at marketing or if there are brokers, but it felt way too factory-like, and the doctor’s consultation wasn’t very detailed either (I understand because it was free). The doctor’s consultation room was also kind of.. underwhelming. It felt like the consultation was rushed through in a flash. Two managers came in and kept nodding and reacting to what the doctor said, then they did more of the talking themselves and quickly just took me out. -The surgical method was that they would reposition the fat back to its original place and fix it by strengthening the septum, but I had doubts that it might recur.. When I asked if they couldn’t remove it, they said the amount was insufficient for removal.. Because I’m a revision surgery case, I wanted “removal.” If they repositioned it somewhere and fixed it, I felt it would 100% recur in 10 years, and from what I studied, I understood that if fat isn’t removed, it will eventually protrude again. So I came out after a consultation of about 10 minutes..? The price was cheap for revision surgery. I hesitated a little because of the price, but I don’t want another re-revision in my life, so out.
2. ㄷㅌㅂ Plastic Surgery (chief director) consultation fee 20,000 won / contract deposit 10% This clinic I found through YouTube, not an app. They don’t seem to promote or advertise, only do YouTube, and it’s really hard to find reviews on apps or blogs, but both consultations and surgery reservations were completely booked until 4 months later, so I barely got a consultation reservation through a no-show slot. Maybe because there was a consultation fee, the doctor directly pressed all my under-eye fat, checked the crunching sound (evidence that there is fat), and confirmed the under-eye fat with ultrasound. While checking my conjunctiva with a magnifying glass, he said it had been torn a lot during the previous surgery.. and that he only makes a 5 mm incision.. -The surgical method is removal only. He said the front, middle, and back all need to be removed meticulously, that my eyes are absolutely not suitable for micro-fat grafting or anything like that, and that even if I do repositioning, it will recur again, so the fat must be removed no matter what. He was firm. I was looking for a clinic that could do “removal,” so I did cheer inside a little. But because there are many blood vessels in the under-eye fat, removal is more difficult than expected, and since it’s revision surgery, the septum and fat are full of scar tissue, so dissecting in and finding the fat is incredibly difficult; he seemed a bit reluctant.. (The surgery fee is going to be expensive, damn it…) He said that after opening the conjunctiva, if he spends an hour looking for the fat and can’t find it, he might just close it and end the surgery. That’s so scary….. He said it happens about 1 in 100 people… Another advantage is that there’s no tape here, and he showed me same-day photos, and they looked totally fine…. That’s fascinating too. Anyway, I liked the consultation and surgical method… but revision surgery cost 3XX won… is this real? Ah, I’m torn…..
