I had cheekbone surgery in 2014, the year I turned exactly 20. I lived outside Seoul and was young, so without looking into it much, I was lured by the heavily Photoshopped before-and-after surgery photos on the website and had surgery at a factory-style large hospital in Gangnam after a same-day consultation and surgery reservation with the head director. When I entered the operating room and they were putting in the intravenous anesthesia injection, the nurse stuck me incorrectly several times, so I could not use one arm, and then after sticking the remaining arm several more times, they barely succeeded. From then on, I had a bad feeling... Oh, and in the operating room, I did not even see the director's face. I was put under anesthesia just like that and woke up in the recovery room. But strangely, less than 5 minutes after I came out, another person who had surgery came into the recovery room, and that director was doing rounds for that person too. How could that director have operated on both at the same time, as if he had two bodies.. lol After surgery, my side cheekbones were sunken lower than my temples, hollowed and flat, while the 45-degree cheekbone area protruded more. There was a long hollow along the incision line, cheek hollowing and adhesions.. I really ended up with a monster-like face^^ A long rectangular face, a long box-shaped face.. I guess that is how I should describe it. After putting up with it for a year, my face became harder and harder to cope with, so I went to the hospital. The director and manager sided together and told me as if I was the strange one, saying I was too sensitive lol. They said that if I wanted, they would do revision surgery if I only paid the anesthesia fee, but I absolutely could not bring myself to have surgery at that hospital. Since I was also attending school, I first filled the hollowed areas with fat grafting as an emergency measure. I think I kept getting fat grafting for about 2 years, adding more whenever it disappeared. After that, I looked like a normal person and lived that way, but about a year ago, sagging started. And hard lumps formed too.. So starting 2 months ago, I began reducing the volume with massage and extracorporeal shockwave therapy. In the end, the fat grafting also caused side effects. It clumped, and because of the injection needle, my skin adhered to the muscle like a dimple. The adhered area has no elasticity, feels loose, and is very thin lol. Today is Lunar New Year, but I just cannot face my relatives, so I did not go down and am home alone. Now I cannot even go outside without a mask, and this is a life where dying would be better. I am looking into cheekbone reconstruction, but every hospital has bad things said about it, so how can I trust any of them.. It is so hard ㅜ
