Before/after/after/after/after real review of Mentor Xtra breast augmentation
155 cm/53 kg, inframammary incision Rib cage 12.5 Mentor Xtra 400 cc I did go a bit large for my body size, but I'm so satisfied lol ㅠㅠ I was worried I might regret it once the swelling goes down
Day of surgery It was my first time under general anesthesia, so I was really nervous, but my vision got blurry in about 2 seconds, and when I came to, I was in the recovery room .. !!! Even though they said they would keep me warm, I had heard people say it was cold, so I wondered, why would it be cold? But this was separate from the blanket being warm. My body itself felt cold like when you have body aches, so I was shivering, and maybe because I had dual-plane placement, every time I trembled it felt like the incised muscle tightened, so it felt more painful ㅠㅠ But overall it didn't hurt much, so it was only a stiff ache in the recovery room and I got startled once in a while at speed bumps in the taxi? I think it was pain that was close to painless ㅎ Maybe thanks to the pain pump lol The feel was just like a hard rubber ball, not even firm and bouncy, just hard
Post-op days 2-3 Since I had the pain pump attached, there was almost no pain, and it was just a little stiff when getting up from bed. If someone held me and I got up with my own strength, it didn't hurt, I think haha I slept at a 45-degree angle with 3 pillows underneath (they said the swelling would go down faster, and it hurt less this way). Sleeping like this also made my lower back, which had nothing to do with the surgery, hurt less, so I plan to sleep like this for about a week lol The feel went from hard to slightly bouncy-ball-like!! On the day of surgery, the area between my breasts felt like the skin was being pulled from both sides, and it was hard even if I pressed it, but I think the tissue is loosening little by little. When I pressed it, it really indented just a tiny bit. I guess it's stretching! I hope the upper fullness goes away soon ㅜ
Post-op week 1 I got the stitches removed and had the director check the progress, and he said it turned out very well, so I felt relieved. Even to me, it wasn't the rice-bowl look I had been worried about, so once the swelling and shape settle, I think I'll be even more satisfied than now lol haha At week 1, the front of the breast felt firm, maybe because the muscle is covering it, and the sides and bottom felt like fat covering a bouncy ball? When pressed, it goes in softly~ and then you feel the bouncy ball!! lololol Can you imagine it? For the first round of aftercare, I got lymphatic massage? plus LED and a breast pack. As far as I know, lymphatic massage is to reduce swelling, and the breast pack is probably? for swelling too, and LED is for the texture maybe .. now that I'm saying it, I'm not sure, but as soon as I got it, the feel that had been loosening over 1 week softened up in 30 minutes. Now overall it's the soft-firm feel I mentioned earlier!! Aftercare is good ㅎ
Post-op month 1 I went to the clinic for aftercare at the 1-month mark!! They did the usual aftercare + a scar injection, and gave me Contractubex ointment, telling me to apply it twice a day from now on! At 1 month, the feel isn't extremely soft, but it is soft, and when I bend my waist 90 degrees and touch them, they feel really soft, so I thought, ah~ maybe around 10 months later, will it feel like this even when I'm just standing still? ㅎ But one of my friends naturally has full breasts, and after touching mine she said, huh? They're really soft? They feel like my breasts when they get a bit hard during my period? After a little more time, no one will know unless you tell them!! That made me feel good ㅎ,ㅎ
Post-op 1 month and 2 weeks I've been applying the ointment every day without skipping haha They say consistency is the most important thing with scar ointment! So I'll apply it diligently every single day until the day the scars are not noticeable. Fighting! And they said I can drink alcohol after finishing all the capsular contracture medication! I think you can drink from week 5 after surgery (because you take prescribed medication for the first week after surgery, and from week 1 you take a month's worth of capsular contracture medication). But they say all surgeries are still in recovery from 1 month to 6 months, so I won't relax and drink heavily. I'm planning to enjoy it occasionally, only as much as my body can handle haha From month 3, sometimes .. I'll try going all out properly ...!! For the first time in my 20-something years of life, I'm waiting for summer lol It's spring lol ㅎ
Post-op 2 and a half months! I'm getting close to month 3~! Soon I'll be able to wear even underwire bras freely ㅎ ㅎ The feel keeps getting better and better haha When I bend over, they've already become just soft, and only when I touch them lying down are they a bit hard now! I'm going soon for my 3-month aftercare, and I'm looking forward to how much better the feel will get again. Summer is almost here, and I'm seriously so excited, like hurry up and get hot!!! I think I've saved about twenty bikinis hehe The swelling seems all gone!
Fresh post-op month 4 haha Now I'm used to freely wearing bras, and at exactly month 3, wearing an underwire bra felt kind of uncomfortable and made me nervous, but now it's not uncomfortable at all, and I buy every bra just by looking at the design ㅎ Ah, just a little worry like, is this design not available in my size? lol hehe.. I'm happy... ㅜ It's summer now. Rainy season or whatever, I'm going to push through it all and go wear bikinis!!!! Just pieces of fabric!! No huge padding!! Yay~
