I won’t write the hospital name because people might misunderstand me as a broker if I reveal it. It’s now been 2 years since I had double eyelid surgery with the buried-suture method at a plastic surgery clinic near Sinsa Station, and I’m writing this because there are so many posts saying their double eyelid surgery was botched. My pre-op appearance is,,, below. I’m male, and they said my skin was on the thicker side. Fortunately, I didn’t have fat, so I had only buried-suture double eyelid surgery without fat removal. I liked dramatic-looking eyes, and I usually wore double eyelid glue, so I matched it to the double eyelid glue line. Those of you who have used double eyelid glue a lot know, right? When people with thin eyelids use double eyelid glue for a long time, wrinkles form along the glue line that are neither double eyelids nor monolids, and sometimes double eyelids form. I was in that situation. So we set the line in that shape. I actually asked the director whether they could make it bigger, but the director said my current double eyelid glue line was the largest possible line, so we set it along that line. When I had double eyelid surgery, I didn’t do any canthoplasty and only did the double eyelids, and later I had lower canthoplasty. If you’re curious about the review, I also wrote a lower canthoplasty review, so look at that. And the mention of my boyfriend in that post isn’t because I’m a broker, it’s because I’m gay, so if that makes you uncomfortable, please leave. With double eyelid surgery, it really takes a month before you can carry your face around, 6 months for it to get somewhat better, and 1 to 2 years to become completely natural like mine. Please don’t think too hastily. And you know double eyelids keep getting buried as the skin on the upper eyelid keeps sagging and covering the line, right? That means the more time passes, the more and more natural they become. My mom’s friends had full-incision double eyelid surgery with fat removal too, so it took 2 to 3 years for them to become completely natural. My older female cousin has a big age gap with me, and it’s been 10 years since her double eyelid surgery; she had it set low, so one side looks like it’s about to come undone but not quite. Everyone’s skin type is different, so what I say isn’t the answer, and my post could be wrong. If you really think it’s botched, after 6 months, go around to at least 5 other plastic surgery clinics, not the place where you had surgery, and get consultations with specialists. In any case, revision surgery can’t be done before 6 months. If you do, you’ll just get scar tissue and it will be more botched. Actually, I thought my double eyelid surgery was botched like you all, and people around me kept saying it was botched too, so I begged the place where I had surgery to undo the double eyelids. I lay on the operating table and even had sedation anesthesia and all, but during surgery the doctor woke me up. They said the surgery had been done so well and the adhesion was so good that even they couldn’t find the surgical suture, so they couldn’t undo the buried sutures for me. And even if they removed the sutures, the adhesion was so good that the double eyelids would remain as they were. They said the only method was incision. I was in despair and, while working part-time, about 1.5 million won for incision surgery, for a year, I don’t know, and then my eyes became what they are now. What would have happened if my double eyelids had been undone back then? I’m so relieved. That they couldn’t be undone. And that doctor was honest: when I said I wanted canthoplasty, they said their hospital wasn’t confident in canthoplasty and told me to go to another hospital. Of course, I had lower canthoplasty at another hospital, and it has almost come undone, so I’m going to do it again. Please don’t decide whether it’s botched or not botched just by reading my post... If you blame me later, I’ll get hurt If you want to maintain a natural line for a few years and dream of revision surgery 10 years later, set it low. If you want double eyelids that last for a lo~~~ng time even if you suffer for 1 to 2 years at first, then just accept the swelling... Oh right, when I was hospitalized for another disease, a 32-year-old mom (older sister) also said she had surgery when she was a “maiden” (not my word, quoting her), in slang she had it pinched, but after 10 years it became too faint and light now, and she regretted not asking them to pinch it more strongly back then. But on the other hand, a girl who took the same class as me at university, I don’t know who she had it done by, but her eyes and nose were done so excessively that she looked greasy and heavy-featured. So please make sure to get consultations at at least 5 other hospitals after 6 months. Search this community and go to conscientious hospitals. Then that’s it... I’ll leave photos. Before surgery, 1 month after surgery, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, and now. In that order.
