Hi everyone, I’ve only been lurking, but this is my first time writing a surgery review!
When I was in high school, I had incisional double-eyelid surgery and a slight medial canthoplasty once, more for medical purposes than cosmetic ones. Even after that, my eyes were still small and stuffy-looking, so I always wanted lateral-lower canthoplasty. For clinic conditions, I had consultations at two places with a single director and good revision-surgery reviewsㅎㅎ
The consultant and director were just normally kind, and originally I wanted to open the lower and lateral areas too, but while the director was consulting with me, they honestly told me that I have enough posterior space, but my pupils are slightly gathered toward the front, so if I wanted a more open look, just doing the lower canthoplasty and opening the front would probably be good. I think the surgery itself went well, and I especially really, really, really like the lower canthoplastyˊᵕˋ They say it can attach upward again, but I just really hope it stays in this lineㅠ I’m satisfied with the front too.. There are so many pretty people in the reviews, so I don’t know how it looks to everyoneㅎㅎ...
There was some swelling during the first week, and blue bruising. After getting the stitches removed one week later, only yellow bruising remained, so management wasn’t difficult!
But the thing is, since I originally had a double-eyelid surgery line, I also did upper canthoplasty together, and I don’t know if it’s because of the medial canthoplasty or the upper canthoplasty, but my right eye has a slight lagophthalmos, so it doesn’t close all the way? Is this something I should tell the clinic about..?
