Before <on the day of surgery, before cutting the jaw> Before <appearance of the square jaw before surgery> After <40 days after surgery> After <40 days after surgery> I got square jaw surgery because I was bothered by my square jaw that stuck out when I tilted my head to the side.
Honestly, people said I didn’t need to do it, but while working or lying down using my phone, I kept searching for plastic surgery information.
So I thought, rather than wasting time like that, I should just have the surgery! And I got it done.
I only had the square jaw angle done, not deep cheek muscle removal, cortical bone, or chin tip procedures.
Anyway, it’s a surgery that cuts bone with a saw, so I was really scared, and I looked into many places.
I had surgery at a place that didn’t strongly push surgery and gave a sincere consultation.
I really had consultations with the doctor several times, almost an hour each time.
In the end, I had the surgery..
Until 2 weeks after surgery, it was truly like endless hell. I ate only porridge and soup every day, so the weight just kept dropping, and it was frustrating.
My face hurt and felt tight, and it was really painful. When I looked at my very swollen face, I looked so unfairly treated that I even got angry at my own face.
I couldn’t meet people and stayed only at home, so I felt sorry toward my parents, and I wondered if I was making too much fuss as a man.. I spent a lot of time alone.
Still, time does pass. It’s already been about 45 days, the swelling has gone down a lot, and I can eat everything.
I can chew pork belly and bachelor kimchi with no problem. I’m also doing intense exercise without difficulty.
When I meet people after a long time, they don’t even know I had surgery unless I tell them, and friends who know said it turned out natural.
Now that time has passed, I’m satisfied with the surgical result.. But the recovery period after surgery was really painful, sob sob.
Swelling tips
To reduce swelling quickly, I walked for an hour every day starting two days after surgery.
Around one week later, I jogged. And from three weeks later, I worked out at the gym.
Also, until one month after surgery, I took three kinds of medicine: Panocin, Bruna, and Infla.
Wow,,, it was my first time in my life taking this much medicine. Since this was my first cosmetic surgery, I don’t know the difference in swelling between taking medicine and not taking it,
but I still think there was an effect. (No factual basis haha;;)
To give my conclusion, I think that to reduce swelling quickly, the most important thing is physical activity~!
