First of all, my nose is short and small, and my skin is also on the firm/tight side. So what I want: autologous rib cartilage nasal tip, round nostrils, and not raising the glabella area much, at most about 1 mm. I’m also considering no implant. I don’t want to put in siliconeㅜㅜ For reference, this is my first surgery!
So far, I’ve gone to 8 consultations (jwㅈㅇ, ㄴㄴ, ㅂㅌㅇ, ㅅㄱ, ㅇㅇ, ㅁㄱ, ㅈㅇ), and among them about 3 became my final candidates. I’m planning to go to one more place, ㅈㅅ, in early February. I didn’t go to any large hospitals.
My filtering criteria were places under 9 million won when using autologous rib cartilage, places that recommended rib rather than ear cartilage, and places that considered overall facial harmony.
1. ㅅㄱ(ㅇㅈㅊ) - aesthetic match 85% Autologous rib cartilage nasal tip, bulbous nose correction, short nose correction, no implant - “The place whose aesthetic sense matches mine best” - 15 years of experience - I couldn’t see many surgery reviews - Price is on the higher side - Sedation anesthesia - CCTV can be viewed in fast playback - Aftercare seems decent - No implant is also possible I originally excluded it, but because of the aesthetic sense, I put it back on the final list. I saw 2 bad reviews (that bothers me a bit), and I’m not sure whether they take responsibility for patients until the end (I just don’t know). I’m also not sure if they have a lot of revision rhinoplasty experience, so I’m debating.
2. ㅇㅇ(ㄱㅎㅈ) - aesthetic match 70% Autologous rib cartilage tip + silicone bridge + bulbous nose correction + nasolabial angle correction - Previously affiliated with a large hospital (makes me anxious, but I haven’t seen bad reviews) - 14 years of experience / new clinic - Specializes in rib cartilage - Price is on the higher side - General anesthesia - Aftercare and communication with the consultant seem the fastest and best - “I can feel that the director keeps paying attention” - CCTV has an additional cost - Does not recommend no implant - They do a review event, but you have to write about 5 times more than at other clinics - They say I need ‘nasolabial angle correction,’ which I haven’t heard at any other clinic - It seems like a slightly noticeable but pretty style For now, I’ve put down a deposit, but what bothers me is that I’d have to use silicone if I go through with it. “I think the fact that they do septal reinforcement extension surgery is a merit.” The doctor seems to have the shortest career and seems young, but also seems to have a lot of experience, so I’m not sure. I’m bothered by the recommendation for nasolabial angle correction and the need to use silicone. If I don’t use silicone, it’s an extra 2 million won.
3. ㅈㅇ(ㅇㅈㅇ) - aesthetic match 75% Autologous rib cartilage nasal tip, bulbous nose correction, no implant - Has the longest experience: 20 years / private clinic opened 14 years ago - Not many reviews are visible (seems like a clinic people mostly go to through referrals) - The most natural among the three - Price is on the lower side - Recommends no implant - Aftercare or communication with the consultant isn’t bad, but among the three it’s the lowest - Lifetime responsibility system - CCTV is all possible if you mention it in advance - They don’t put cotton inside the nose (this actually seems pretty nice) - Sedation anesthesia The director recommends only exactly what needs to be done, and from a pricing standpoint, it seems like an honest clinic. There aren’t many actual reviews, but the reviews are all good. I’m worried it might turn out too natural.. I’ve also placed a reservation here.
* I’ve also booked re-consultations with ㅈㅇ and ㅅㄱ. My nostrils are triangular, so I want to make them round, but I didn’t get to discuss that part with those two places.. But the re-consultations are only possible in mid-February, so I’m worried my schedule will get pushed back too much. I really searched hard because I want to avoid revision surgery as much as possible.
