Before <before surgery> After <after surgery> It’s been two and a half months since I had only cheekbone reduction. When I look at the reviews people post, many of them say things like “already...” but for me, these two and a half months felt so boringly slow ㅠㅠㅠ
For about a month after surgery, I was actually very comfortable, but after that I developed allergic rhinitis, so I’m receiving treatment from an ENT clinic and taking medication ㅠㅠ According to the ENT doctor, I originally have allergies. This time I also had a proper full allergy test. When I said I didn’t have them when I was young, they said your constitution can change.......
Definitely, having surgery at an older age makes recovery slower and there are many risk factors here and there. My immune system has weakened a lot too, so even though I used to be the type who never caught a cold, for the past few years I’ve been constantly catching colds. Those who are thinking about surgery should look into it carefully, but please do it even one year younger if you can. After really passing 40, I can feel my body weakening sharply.
The ENT clinic says I should be fully recovered in just one more week, and now that I’m approaching the three-month mark, I can chew things like napa cabbage kimchi or chicken without worry, so it’s a weekend where my heart feels much lighter.
Whenever I was worried, I called and rushed to the hospital, and I’m so grateful to Director Lee Hyung-kyo, who never once showed annoyance and reassured me by taking CT scans and showing them to me. If anything, he took CT scans so often that I was the one worried about radiation. His attitude before and after surgery is the same, and he is always meticulous and kind to patients, so I sincerely hope the hospital does really well^^
Oh. And at the end of last month, my daughter also had epicanthoplasty and double eyelid surgery here, and it turned out very pretty, so we’re satisfied. She is aiming for an aviation operations-related department, so she is sensitive about her appearance, and the shape came out to her liking without side effects. It was not only good for facial contouring, but also a great place for double eyelid surgery haha She is still a first-year high school student, so I was worried about touching her nose too and we almost did it but stopped, though I think she may get nose surgery soon.
But after doing cheekbones, I regret wondering if I should have done the jaw together too. Because I was doing it secretly from my husband, I was scared, and I don’t like pointy lines, so I didn’t do it. The cheekbones are completely gone, which is good, but because my midface is very long, the lower part of my face bothers me a lot. Since my nose is quite long, even if I had done my jaw, it probably would not have been that dramatic.
For those planning to do it, I think it’s better to do all 3 types together if possible. The overall balance feels a bit lacking. Still, everyone I meet asks why my impression has become so delicate and soft, so I’m satisfied^^
