Scar tissue in left eye 1><9. Scar tissue in left eye 2><10. Scar tissue in right eye> Hello. ** I run a YouTube channel, so I’m planning to post a more detailed version there, ** but before that, I wanted to leave a written post here, so I’m writing this!!
On February 28, I had incision revision surgery plus inner corner, upper corner, and eye-opening muscle correction. I had it done at a famous revision-surgery hospital in Apgujeong called an 'L' clinic.
[Consultation] I had heard rumors that the director was blunt during consultations, so I was worried, but he was kind and looked at everything carefully, so I felt I could trust him. It was the last place I visited after going to five hospitals, and I chose it because it felt reliable.
[Surgery] On the day of surgery, I arrived and waited for about an hour. While waiting, they gave me some kind of swelling injection(?) and I waited after getting that. The hospital felt a bit old, so the operating room also felt a bit old, but that didn’t matter. The director was so trustworthy, lol. ** The most decisive reason I chose this hospital was the "local anesthesia". I was worried about surrogate surgery if I had sedation anesthesia, and when I had my first double-eyelid surgery, it was also under local anesthesia, so I remembered how they had me open my eyes and adjusted the shape that way. (My first surgery was very successful, but I did it because I wanted eyes that looked a little more open!) The surgery took quite a while, maybe about an hour and a half? I held out while listening to the latest songs they playedㅠㅠ And I liked that the doctor had such a professional aura while operating. It’s the kind of aura you can’t really feel unless you experience it yourself lol. After the surgery, they gave me pumpkin juice and cold compresses! They didn’t give me any eye ointment separately.
[Double-eyelid surgery full review] 1. Before-surgery photo I was already very satisfied with my first double-eyelid surgery, but over 10 years my eyes sagged and started looking tired, so I decided to get it done. I also wanted the inner corners opened more, so I went ahead with it. Also, my sleepy-looking eyes were severeㅠㅠ
2. Day 1 after surgery On the day of surgery, I was so overwhelmed that I couldn’t take a photo, and honestly I didn’t even have the courage to lookㅠㅠ I’m scared of seeing blood... So I took this photo the next day, and I was very satisfied at that time. And it didn’t hurt at all. Is that normal....? I don’t remember my first double-eyelid surgery lolㅋㅋㅋㅋ Anyway, my eyes don’t swell much, so I thought, "It’s less swollen than I expected?" and kept doing cold compresses diligently. ** But as you can see in the photo, my left eye looked strange. So I started worrying a lot. I even asked on a community and made a huge fuss. Because there was a wrinkle above the double-eyelid line, and it looked like there were two linesㅠㅠ
3. Day 5 after surgery ** This photo was taken before going to have the stitches removed on day 5. I was still stressed because of the left eye.... ** And there was some strange tissue bulging out at the back of the left eye, which stressed me out again... I was told to start practicing opening my eyes only after the stitches were removed, so until then I didn’t put force into my eyes. I was feeling satisfied with the right eye.
4. The day the stitches were removed. The stitches were removed by a nurse, not the director. ** When I said there was something strange at the back of the left eye, they said only time would tell, so I just went home. I was extremely stressed........ㅠㅠ The inner corner surgery bled a lot... Still, once the stitches were out, it felt much more comfortable.
5. Day 7 after surgery My eyes suddenly changed, right?? I went back to work on day 7 after surgery. Since I work standing up all day, the swelling suddenly went down a lot. Even that morning, the left eye had a very noticeable double fold, which stressed me out, but after work when I washed my face, the double fold disappeared lolㅋㅋㅋ
6. Day 12 after surgery This is today’s eye. The swelling is going down well too. The right eye still has bruising, so it looks sharp, though. I wanted an in-out shape, but it looks kind of out...? I’m still not sure whether it will become in-out as the swelling goes downㅠㅠ But ** I think scar tissue formed in front of both eyes, and the line started forming into two folds. So stressful.... The hospital said they would give me a scar-tissue injection, so I’m just waiting for thatㅠㅠ
7. Let me explain the scar tissue. This is really, really stressful. The left eye developed scar tissue even before the stitches were removed. There’s still some left at the very outer edge, so I’m worried. And scar tissue also formed in the inner corner of the eye, so there are two lines in both the front and back... haaa The right eye didn’t have that at first, but as soon as the stitches were removed, scar tissue formed in front of the eye and the line started to settle strangely. There are also two lines forming at the back of the double-eyelid line right now. ㅠㅠ The hospital said to come back after a month, so I guess I have to wait until then? They said they would give me an injection, so I’m trying to stay positive and telling myself it should get better after the shotㅠㅠ
[As for the rest of the review, I’ll think about it after a month has passed!!!! It’ll probably go up on YouTube lolㅋㅋㅋㅋ Except for the scar tissue, I’m satisfied, but if that isn’t scar tissue and is actually something wrong, it’ll become a headacheㅠㅠ I’m praying that isn’t the case.... I’m satisfied enough that I’d even tell friends to get it done here!!! I don’t know how the line will settle, but for now I’m satisfied lol What keeps me satisfied for now is the scar tissueㅠㅠ If it weren’t for that, I would’ve already been cheering about how great it is... I’m going to watch and wait a bit longer. ]
** The reason I wrote this review like this is because after the double-eyelid surgery, the double fold and the scar tissue caused me a huge amount of stress. So I asked questions and searched a lot, but I couldn’t find much. That’s why I’m posting this so others can find some encouragement. As for the scar tissue, I stillㅠㅠ haven’t gotten an answer, so I can’t really say much yet.
I think you don’t need to worry about the double fold!! Once the swelling goes down, the double fold really changes a lot!! Don’t worry, no no no no!!
** I started going for walks from 3 days after surgery. For about an hour at a time lolㅋㅋㅋ Then it slowly went down, and once I was working and standing/moving for about 7 hours, it went down a lot. When washing my face, I’m using lukewarm water and not touching my eyes!
End of detailed review!
