Before <Before surgery 1> Before <Before surgery 2> Before <Before surgery 3> <Right before removing the splint after surgery> After <2 weeks after surgery> After <2 weeks after surgery> After <2 weeks after surgery> After <1.5 months after surgery> After <1.5 months after surgery> After <1.5 months after surgery> This is 1.5 months after lower posterior canthoplasty and nose surgery! (lower posterior canthoplasty + revision rhinoplasty)
For my revision rhinoplasty, I had only my nasal tip operated on about 2-3 years ago. At the time of my first surgery, my nose was on the long side and I had a nasal bridge, but my nasal tip was slightly bulbous and blunt, so the tip looked droopy, which made my nose look even longer. That’s why I decided to get surgery! But back then, maybe because the surgery was done without considering my nose shape or condition, and without bulbous nose correction, I didn’t see as much of an effect as I wanted.. (If I had to compare, it was like the level of Hiko, Misko, or filler procedures.) So every time I looked in the mirror, I kept getting stressed ㅠㅠ People around me didn’t even know I had my nose done..^ㅅ^ I even went straight back to work after surgery ..ㅅ...ㅂ...ha..
Honestly, it didn’t interfere with daily life, but my family members all naturally have pretty, Western-looking noses, so without realizing it, my round nose had become a complex for me.
And I got my first surgery cheaply at a clinic near my workplace when I was just working at a company, As expected, whether it’s the face or body, procedures and surgeries on my own body should be done properly from the start, even if it costs money.. Because otherwise, like me, you end up needing revision surgery and spend even more money...^^ Life... (You know revision surgery is more expensive than the first surgery, right..? Life is futile.. What do I earn money for? To spend it on my face..)
Also.. I heard that if revision rhinoplasty goes wrong, it can still fail even after multiple surgeries, so I worried a lot. But while diligently looking only for information on revision specialists, I met a director who was exactly right for me, so although I kept saying I’d get revision surgery someday, I immediately scheduled the surgery and went ahead with it. The result is.. I’m really extremely satisfied ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
I only had alar base reduction and nasal tip surgery. Previously, my tip had been slightly raised only with artificial dermis, but the director said that to build the nasal tip in the way I wanted, the support had to be firm. So for the revision surgery, septal cartilage and donated costal cartilage were used.
I proceeded as recommended, and wow.. my nasal tip was raised beautifully in exactly the way I wanted!!!!!!
For the dual eye canthoplasty, my eyes were originally on the large side, so honestly I hadn’t thought about canthoplasty. My older sister was looking into posterior and lower canthoplasty, so while helping her look into it, I saw reviews from people who had canthoplasty done by the same director who did my nose surgery. But their eyes became bigger so naturally and without looking obvious, so I started wanting it a little too, thinking my eyes might look more open and refreshed if I widened them just a bit..ㅎ
So again, on the doctor’s recommendation, I had lower canthoplasty to slightly lower the outer corners, and also opened the back part, and my eyes became much clearer than before without looking obvious at all. (To be honest, I was too lazy to look into other clinics...ㅎ... I wanted to solve everything in one go, so I had all the surgeries at once, and because I met the right doctor, everything was solved satisfactorily all at once ..^^..) Before, I had a bad habit of walking around with my eyes kind of half-open and sleepy-looking. First of all, that has improved a lot. I keep my eyes more engaged now.
Since I definitely had work done on the nose, which is the pillar of the face, and the eyes, my impression looks clearer than before, so taking photos these days feels funㅠㅠ
At first, when I said I was getting surgery, everyone around me strongly tried to stop me and asked why I would do it. But after I went through with it and things settled to some extent, they said it looked pretty, and now they’re all looking into surgery themselves, saying they want to get it too.ㅎㅎ
Also, I fall for things easily when people are kind, so if someone is kind, I like them first ㅎ.. The director who operated on my face personally consulted with me from the beginning, and diagnosed me by checking only what was truly necessary for surgery!!! And it’s no secret that he was really sweet.. ㅎ.. (Some places made me uncomfortable because the consultation manager recommended even procedures I didn’t really need, seriously..) I really, really want to recommend him!!!! I wanted a natural-looking nose with a raised, sharp nasal tip~ I think the exact line I wanted came out, so I’m very happy with it. These days I think I’m happy looking in the mirror every day...
And right after surgery, the nose keeps looking upturned like a short nose, giving a pig-nose feeling. It’s more stressful than you’d think, even though time is the medicine, because your mind gets impatient ㅎ..ㅎ.. But just as I said, time really is the medicine. It gradually comes down as the swelling goes down.. So don’t worry!!
Everyone, if you just suffer intensely for about a week after surgery, you’ll be reborn. I can’t say it isn’t painful or hard; there isn’t really pain, but it’s just truly uncomfortable ㅠㅠ So make sure to have surgery when you can take at least a week off work!
But for the eyes, well.. honestly, they didn’t look that obvious from the start and didn’t swell much, so I think doing it on Friday and just including the weekend may be enough. Then if there’s anything else you’re curious about, ask me separately and I’ll let you know~~
