Yesterday I had liposuction on my entire thighs (including the hip line)!
For hospital consultations, I only went to two places, Number in Gyodae and Le Art, and since I put safety first, I naturally leaned toward Number in Gyodae. Le Art also gave kind and detailed consultations, but they said CCTV viewing was not available, so I gave up and immediately set a date with Number.
I had the surgery with Director Choi Hyung-yoon, and because he has such a large number of clinical cases, I trusted him. Before surgery, I requested to have one consultation with the operating surgeon, but the consultant confused the date and the schedule did not match, so I could not meet him on the day of my blood test… That part was a bit disappointing. At Le Art, they also included a consultation with the director ㅠ The hospital is large and has so many patients that I guess administrative mistakes like this can happen.
Anyway, on the day of surgery (=yesterday), I met the director for the first time, had a brief consultation and design, and went straight into surgery. It was my first time having this kind of surgery, so I was very nervous, but the surgical staff kindly guided me and reassured me, so I think I felt a bit more at ease.
When I woke up in the recovery room, the first things I felt were pain (muscle soreness unlike anything I had ever experienced in my life) + chills.. Even though the recovery room heating was at full power, my body was trembling. After eating porridge and resting a bit, the cold feeling quickly got better! I was already wearing the compression garment, and they helped me with everything one by one, even going to the bathroom, so I was grateful.
They said they removed a total of 1600 cc of fat, but because there was blood mixed in, the pure fat volume seems like it would be less. My weight is normal, but my lower body is completely full of fat, so I thought at least over 2000 cc would come out, so I was a bit puzzled. Since it is a hospital that emphasizes safety, I think they removed it conservatively,, Safety is good, but when the actual extraction amount was less than expected, it was a bit ㅠ Still, visually, even though the swelling is severe, my thigh gap has opened a bit and the size definitely seems to have decreased, so I am going to watch the progress first until the swelling goes down.
Maybe because they did not remove a large amount (compared with other hospitals), it is day 2, but I do not have much bruising and the pain is bearable enough. I am not dizzy either, and other than pain around the buttocks when I sit down and stand up or use the bathroom, I am okay. It definitely seems that the less they remove, the less strain there is on the body! (though it was much less than expected ㅠ) Once the stitches are removed, I can receive up to 6 aftercare sessions, so I plan to manage it diligently and watch the progress.
If safety is your priority like me, I recommend this hospital, and if you want a large-volume procedure with a very noticeable effect, I think it would be better to go to another hospital. To exaggerate a bit, I think liposuction is a surgery you undergo risking your life, so removing a lot is good, but please decide while considering safety as much as possible (an anesthesiology specialist, CCTV, etc.)!
