Hello from pre-pre-post-post-post~! I had contouring surgery for the 3-step contour package (cheekbones, front chin tip, square jaw) at The Standard of Contouring on December 10, and now that it’s been a month, I’m going to leave a review!
vReason for surgery My square jaw was a huge source of stress in daily life, and every time I took photos, my angular face shape stood out so much that my self-esteem dropped a lot too Whenever we went out somewhere, my friends were all busy taking photos and uploading to Instagram, while I wasn’t even taking photos at all, just taking pictures of my friends.. I decided, “If I’m going to be this stressed because I can’t even take photos at this beautiful age, then I should just get surgery!!” and I spent about 7 to 8 months saving money without really thinking much. Once I had saved up a certain amount, I happened to have about 3 months of free time, and I thought it was the perfect time for surgery, so I started looking for a hospital.
vReason for choosing the hospital I had basically zero knowledge about terms like the angle under the ear, osteotomy, and so on.. So I just decided by looking at review photos posted on cosmetic surgery apps. There were exactly 2 things I cared about: ⭐️naturalness and a place that doesn’t have a factory-style facial shape⭐️!! Oh, and I also thought the price shouldn’t be suspiciously cheap, so I felt the pricing was reasonable too.
vConsultation review I’m honestly a huge coward, so I brought a friend who works at another plastic surgery clinic and got the consultation together (My friend totally agreed too!) First of all, the hospital was very clean and comfortable, and all the doctors I met were incredibly kind!! Especially the manager.. I almost thought she was my older sister From what I heard, she had worked with Director Oh Jeongseok in the operating room for a long time, too. So I bluntly said I wanted her to do my surgery as well, and she said she would definitely make a note of it and remember it. It was so moving… The director showed me photos that looked like they came straight out of a paper and explained the surgery method in detail. We looked at photos of celebrities and influencers together to find the look I wanted, and she thoughtfully discussed it with me. There was absolutely no pressure to get surgery at all, so I really hope everyone at least goes in for a consultation~!
vSurgery day review Because I was going to have surgery far away from home, I took a flight early in the morning and arrived at the hospital much earlier than my surgery time. Even though I arrived early, they let me rest in the recovery room, which was nice! I was so nervous that I kept pacing around restlessly until I finally lay down on the operating table…! The anesthesiologist came in, held a big oxygen mask to my mouth, and said, “Take slow deep breaths~” and by around the second time I did it, the strength drained from my whole body starting from my toes and I fell asleep. When I woke up to the sound of someone waking me, my whole face hurt so much that I got up crying.. Ah, it hurts so much sobbing like this… I remember the nurse wiping my tears and comforting me by saying I wasn’t swollen at all, so I shouldn’t cry.. I rested 충분히 in the warm recovery room and then went to the hotel I had reserved in advance to rest.
vPain The day of surgery really hurts so much, no matter what you do it just hurts.. I’m usually pretty good with pain, but it was truly pain I never want to experience again.. My throat hurt and my face hurt, and maybe because of the anesthetic gas, I also felt really nauseous Even a little walking made me dizzy and like I might throw up, so I kept crouching down, and even when I was leaning on something I still felt nauseous, so I tried to keep taking big deep breaths as much as possible! The pain disappeared after about 2 days, and the nausea also seemed to last about 2 days. Oh, and some people said they kept sleeping because of the anesthesia, but I actually couldn’t sleep.. I guess it was because of the pain
vSwelling care The first day after surgery, I really wasn’t swollen much at all, so I was like, oh~ but as expected, starting the next day it swelled up more and more^^ Days 2 and 3 were the peak swelling. I just looked like a huge moon In week 1 I looked like a big circle, in week 2 a slightly smaller circle.. in week 3 like someone who had their wisdom teeth removed, and in week 4 only the jaw area was swollen like Mr. Kim Gu-ra.. It does keep going down little by little over time, so don’t worry! I used the face compression band and hot/cold packs the hospital gave me, doing one hour with the band, then after one hour taking it off and using the pack, repeating that! I also went out for walks in between, but even walking was hard at first So I think I went out for short walks as often as possible, and altogether did it for about 2 hours! I also slept propped up for 2 weeks, and I gargled diligently too~! I also bought and tried Danggui Susan and Newbine, which are famous for helping swelling, from the pharmacy, but they didn’t really work for me.. I drank Catch-T, Mashi-neun Sensian, and Young Farmer pumpkin juice, which are famous as swelling tea for pregnant women, and honestly those seemed more effective than the pharmacy medicine.. Now that it’s been a month, the major swelling is all gone and I’m living my normal life. My friends have no idea I had surgery at all, and I didn’t tell them either But since I’ve looked at my own face countless times over my entire life, it still feels a little unfamiliar when I look in the mirror. Still, that’s swelling only I can notice, so I’m not too worried~!!
vMeals At first I couldn’t open my mouth much, but maybe because of the pain, I didn’t really feel like eating anyway, so I drank soy milk! From the second day I ate a little bit of porridge, and from day 4 I boiled somyeon and swallowed it quickly, or ate castella and ice cream. After eating and drinking only those things for about a week, I got so sick of it that I tried hard to eat rice too, and now that it’s been a month I eat better than anyone else… Yes.. I eat really well… I have such a big appetite that being hungry was a bit hard for me If you hold out for just 1 to 2 weeks and eat only mildly non-spicy foods, I think you’ll be able to eat everything again~!
vOverall review & tips Watching the swelling go down day by day and seeing my square jaw, which used to be my complex, disappear made me feel so amazed, and I think I really made the right decision to have surgery! It’s truly so natural that I love it even more!! If you want to become beautiful naturally, I highly recommend The Standard of Contouring!!! I hope people who are 고민하시는 will find my review helpful! Hurry and book a consultation~!!>< *Please get scaling once before surgery!! If you can’t brush properly, it’s really annoying.. *After surgery, bring someone you’re very comfortable with as your guardian. I used my mom card *If you’re coming from out of town, I recommend giving yourself a generous 2 days before heading home!
