A genuinely satisfying facial contouring surgery review for a younger-looking lower face

Before <Before surgery (front)>Before <Before surgery (side)>Before <After surgery!!>Before <After surgery!!>The person who had wanted facial contouring surgery ever since seeing Karina’s face shape... that’s me ^^ I was born with a square jaw, so whether I got lifting treatments or bought a device and managed it at home, the jaw shape? absolutely nope nope, it didn’t change.. I tried thinking somehow I might see results with self-care, but as I started feeling that the money spent on things like that was a waste, I belatedly reached the conclusion that facial contouring surgery was the answerㅠㅠ

But after going around to hospitals for consultations... they said that because I have an inwardly curved square jaw, the frontal effect might be underwhelming. People look at the front view of the face the most, so if there’s no frontal effect, honestly.. why even get surgery... Because of that, what I focused on during consultations was finding a place that would make it slim while maximizing the frontal effect!!

I didn’t know this, but for an inwardly curved jaw, you can’t just cut it, and if cortical osteotomy is done while considering the thickness of the jawbone, you can see a frontal effect. When they showed me during the consultation how they would cut it, I understood right away. And they also recommended chin tip reduction, and I think doing it together made the final result look even slimmer lol

They said I didn’t need to shave the cheekbones, so I didn’t, and I liked that there was no overtreatment. I thought I’d definitely need all 3 types. I had the consultation based on CT, and because I could see my bones right in front of my eyes, it actually felt like a consultation with no unnecessary extras.

Until around the two-month mark after surgery, the swelling was still going down, and I was stressed and pretty seriously worried..^^ (I was like, should I get liposuction?~~) But as more time passed, it turned out to be something that gradually resolved. When I told the hospital about these worries, I received more CAPS and aftercare contouring injections, and aftercare really does seem essential compared to doing nothing. Don’t worry too early because of postoperative swelling lol

As someone whose face was originally on the long side and who had a lot of concerns about a square jaw, I think this surgery was successful because once the lower face became smaller, there is definitely a younger-looking effectㅎㅎ Also, I was a bit worried about a secondary angle with the square jaw, but I checked it on CT too, and even when I actually touch it, there’s nothing that bothers me, so I feel relieved. I’m really feeling that facial contouring surgery isn’t simply about shaving bone, but can also help make my strengths stand out more. A surgery like this probably only happens once in life, right? I’m genuinely satisfied~ I just hope no side effects appear even as time passesㅠㅠ
