<This is my current nose shape!>*As far as I know, the surgical method was 4 mm silicone + ear cartilage strut, extension, and ear cartilage for the nasal tip. If you look at my previous posts or the removal-board page, the post I uploaded after removing the splint after removal has photos attached of my original nose and surgical nose!*
It has already been 2 months since removal ㅠㅠ When I had nose surgery, I came into this community several times every day, received a lot of comfort, searched through every single post, felt hopeful, and cried too. Since my biggest problem was discomfort rather than the shape, after removal I have been sleeping well too. (I had it removed for free at the hospital where I had the original surgery!)
*Changes in nose shape after removal*
At first, after the splint was removed, I was really, really so shocked. The nasal tip was blunt, the nasal bridge looked sunken here and there and spread out. Still, I thought I should wait since I had removed it, so I spent every day looking in the mirror and covering it with makeup. Around week 2, the contour started to form, and by the 1-month mark, it was just my nose! I didn't feel a contracture phase. Now, at 2 months, the contour has come back! If you feel a sense of loss after removal, please try waiting like I did!
*Whether it returned to my original nose*
My original nose was not an upturned nose, but the hospital said it was a short nose. So they extended it slightly. After removal, I personally feel the nasal tip has drooped more than my original nose. It's not like, “It's way too droopy,” but it definitely has a surgical-nose feeling ㅠㅠ Also, after taking off a mask, my nose would be drooping, so I searched for massages to fix nasal tip drooping and did them while thinking, “Go up, go up.” Now that it has been 2 months, I still often feel like it is drooping, but I am going to keep waiting more consistently! I can make a pig nose about 50%, but it still isn't as soft and pliable as my original nose! I guess I should wait longer for this too?! After removal, I came to love my appearance more. Why didn't I know before surgery...
My friends say things like, “Why did you even get nose surgery?” It has improved that much. It was a depressing and difficult 6 months, but for now, I think the happiest thing is being able to live comfortably without worrying about my nose ㅠㅠ

+As far as I know, I did not have cartilage repositioning!
