That was the kind of nose I had. Over the years, to improve the asymmetry, I had various things adjusted through closed and open approaches every few years, and it ended up being five times. Especially with the last surgery, which I had while telling myself I would just make one more small improvement and that it would be the last, my nose became very artificially high, pointed, and upturned, which made the asymmetry look even more noticeable, so I was extremely stressed. I blamed myself, wondering whether I had been unnecessarily greedy with the last surgery... After spending such a long time like that, the asymmetry was still there and an artificial look had been added on top of it, so I really felt this wasn't right and decided to have surgery. I had consultations at two places in the region where I live, but none felt right, so only after having two more consultations in Seoul did I make up my mind and have surgery.
My nose had cartilage showing through at the tip, and it was pointed, high, and somewhat severely asymmetric, and on top of that it was upturned, so it had a strong artificial feel. During consultations at 4 places, all four said the cartilage was showing through and that autologous dermis or artificial dermis would need to be used. So after thinking about it, I had surgery at a place specializing in autologous dermis. It seemed like a hospital specializing in contracted noses and autologous dermis. During the consultation, they sincerely and thoroughly explained everything, including side effects, so I was able to decide.
Now, the upturned part that bothered me the most has definitely come down, the asymmetry has also improved a lot, and I feel like it has a more natural look, so my mind is much more at ease. They say autologous dermis needs to be observed for at least 6 months, so I'm watching it for now.
