Around late September 2024, it has now been 100 days (3 months and 10 days) since I had two facial contouring procedures (square jaw and chin advancement) at ㄴㅌ Plastic Surgery.
The surgery involved partially resecting the square jaw and advancing the chin by 4.8 mm. In the early postoperative period, there was major swelling in my chin, so it felt like my chin had become longer, but the major swelling started going down from week 2, and as things gradually settled, it actually felt like my chin had become shorter, and as my recessed chin was advanced, my face gained a more refined look.
The change was the most dramatic up to the one-month mark, and after that, it felt like the firm, candy-like swelling around the square jaw area was gradually going down more and more.
In addition, the slight swelling that remained at the tip of my chin has also almost completely gone down. Now, quite a bit of time has passed since the surgery, so I do not look in the mirror every time, but when I look in the mirror from time to time, the blunt-looking face I had before is definitely gone, and I can see a more refined facial shape.
They say residual swelling continues to go down until the one-year mark, so I will have to keep watching, but I am very satisfied with the surgery itself.
So far, I have not had any major side effects, my mouth opening has returned to how it was before, and my sensation has also come back.
I really think I made the right choice having it done at Note. Even if I could go back 100 times, I think I would have it done at Note again. I need to go back soon to check my progress, and I am looking forward to it.
