Nose Re-Surgery

The Concept of Support Structures

Are a septal support graft and a columellar support graft different? I made an appointment today to have everything removed, and they said that if removing everything caused a saddle nose, they would add support or reinforcement. Is that when they use a septal support graft? When I asked the director, they said reinforcement for a saddle nose is toward the nasal bridge and unrelated to the tip, so would the nose then be soft and still allow a piggy nose? I thought a support graft meant you could not make a piggy nose... Right now I have a septal extension graft, septal support graft, and columellar support graft. Is the hardness I feel and the inability to make a piggy nose caused by the septal extension and columellar support grafts? Is a septal support graft okay? Please help, everyone who kept a support graft and doctors who specialize in removal T_T I have gone for consultations twice and still do not understand. My body is sensitive, so I notice foreign-body sensations more than others and decided on complete removal, but the director said that if removing it caused a saddle nose, they would have no choice but to reinforce it and close the incision, which scares me.
