Is there anyone here who wants to use dermis? You know, while saying it’s implant-free and all...!! If so, pay attention..ㅋㅋㅋ
My first surgery was done so excessively that I almost developed social anxiety. I couldn’t look people in the eye and didn’t enjoy meeting people ㅜ It felt like everyone was staring only at my nose.. (I even own a cafe..ㅋㅋ)
So I went around to several clinics for revision surgery, and recently I had surgery at Saegim, where they removed the silicone and used dermis... During this process, what I worried about most was the dermis being absorbed..
Even during the consultation, I said I thought I would really hate it if it got absorbed.. and asked whether everyone says that.. When I asked the director, he said dermis can be used to raise the nasal bridge or nasal tip, but it’s also often used to reinforce thin areas of skin that may show through by layering it on top.. People who ask, “Won’t it get absorbed?” are people who can’t give up height..
What I learned about the purpose of dermis while having revision rhinoplasty ㅋㅋ 1. There are limits to using it for height.. It might be better to receive it without expecting too much? 2. It’s a very, very good material to use when the skin shows through..
Those of us who have had nose surgery know this, but the skin getting thinner is an unavoidable issue ㅠㅠ That’s why many people deliberately have their first surgery without silicone, because they’re afraid it might show through..
Anyway, what I want to say is (though this got a bit all over the place) dermis surgery? Absorption will definitely happen! But for people with thin skin, or skin that could show through, I think it can become the best surgery for them (though of course you need to look carefully into the clinic and the director).
