I went around for consultations for my first double-eyelid surgery, and I’m so torn..
My eyes - stretched out from using double-eyelid tape for 4 years and have a lot of overlapping creases / one side is an in-out line and the other is an inline, so my eyes are asymmetrical / prominent Mongolian folds I’m planning to get an epicanthoplasty + a high in-out line, really naturally!! I wanted a semi-out line, but a lot of places said it wasn’t possibleㅜㅜ
ㅇㅇㄹㄷ, ㅂㅌㅇㅇ, ㅎㄴ(Jeong), ㄷㅍㅇㅅ(Choi), ㅋㅇㅇㅈ, ㅁㅇ I went to these places, and please help me think through which one seems best
ㅇㅇㄹㄷ - The only place that said non-incisional surgery was possible. They seemed to say buried suture would be possible after checking my eye-opening strength and skin thickness. The line they made for me was the prettiest among all the places I visited. If I get epicanthoplasty, a semi-out line is possible. I forgot to mention the double-eyelid tape
ㅂㅌㅇㅇ - After hearing about the double-eyelid tape, they said I’d need incisional surgery. Epicanthoplasty is a must! The director was kind and said they would make my small eyes as big as possible. They’re known for natural results, so I’m kind of drawn to them, but I’m worried because there aren’t many surgery reviews
ㅎㄴ - I consulted with the consultant first, then with the director, but since it wasn’t a famous director, there aren’t many reviews. But the consultation was the most thorough. They said because I already have an in-out line, they would need to do it like revision eye surgery by releasing all the adhesions and redoing it, so they recommended incisional surgery. Epicanthoplasty is optional. If I get epicanthoplasty, a semi-out line is possible. I’m torn because it feels like a factory-style clinic
ㄷㅍㅇㅅ - This place also wasn’t with a famous director, so there aren’t many reviews. But the photos in the reviews that were posted were pretty, and also kind of ambiguous. They said incisional surgery is required and a semi-out line is absolutely not possible. Since my eyes show a line at the inner corners, epicanthoplasty is optional + ptosis correction too. I was somehow drawn to them, but after looking up reviews, I became unsure. I’m torn because it feels like a factory-style clinic
ㅋㅇㅇㅈ - The consultation was too short. Partial incision + ptosis correction + epicanthoplasty. A semi-out line isn’t possible here either, only in-out..
ㅁㅇ - They said only incisional surgery + in-out line is possible. They said the same thing as the other hospitals
Overall, it seems like incisional surgery, an in-out line, and epicanthoplasty are recommended, but I’m so torn + I’m also thinking about going to ㅈㅇㅊ and ㅇㅎㅅ
