Before/after I disliked the round, soft image my blunt-looking nose gave me, and I was stressed about my low nasal bridge and wide, flared nostrils, so I started looking into rhinoplasty.
Since it is a nose I will have for life, I thought that while making it pretty was important, safety was the most important, so I really, really went to many consultations. I had even already made a reservation at another plastic surgery clinic before deciding on Obliv Plastic Surgery! The last place I visited was Obliv Plastic Surgery, and there were two reasons I canceled even my reservation at the other plastic surgery clinic and chose Obliv. Counseling Director Go Han-gyeol, who was honest yet comfortable like a friend, warm, and even consulted with me by chat on her days off, and Dr. Kim Da-alm’s professional but easy-to-understand explanations + the detailed approach of showing up to 5 design options suited to my own face, rather than a cookie-cutter nose + the confidence visible in their explanations and in their eyes!
Besides that, when I said I was stressed about my wide glabella and blunt nose, they even said that all men are originally handsome and that I just need to have confidence, so it felt like I was receiving psychological treatment too. I felt like the plastic surgery clinic was even reshaping my heart!
If I had to compare, the other plastic surgery clinics I visited gave me a lot of typical lines + commercial-sounding lines + the feeling of trying to make me believe everything would definitely go well, but at Obliv they clearly explained what was possible and what was impossible. What I liked most was that they explained things in an easy but professional way so that even someone who knew nothing could understand!
In the end, after much deliberation together with Dr. Kim Da-alm, I had surgery with a 4.0 cm silicone implant + bulbous nose correction + nasal tip using ear cartilage + septal cartilage. In the beginning, my nose was really blocked and it was hard, but today, exactly one month later, I am really, really satisfied! My girlfriend is also really, really satisfied! She said that from an Avatar-like face, it now feels well refined like a human face lolololol
I really, really worried about it until the day of surgery, but I think I did really well to have the surgery. I do not regret it even 1 bit! It is already pretty now, but I am excited to see how much prettier it will get after the remaining 5 months, once the residual swelling goes down :)
