1. ㄷㅅㅎ Still, I wanted to have a consultation with the head director, so I consulted with Director ㅇㅈㅈ, and just like I had seen in other consultation reviews, he was warm and kind. He explained things calmly and thoroughly by implant type and surgical method, did a virtual simulation for me too, and it was the first place I went for a consultation, so I remember liking that he made the consultation feel comfortable and not embarrassing. But about side effects? Like what happens if they occur? Things like that... Apparently people usually ask the consultant about those things, but since it was my first consultation, I didn’t know that well... After the director finished the consultation, he told me to ask if I had any questions, so I asked what they would do if side effects occurred, and his expression looked so bad that I just quickly left. It felt like, “Why are you asking me that?”.. lol I just wanted to ask about aftercare/warranty? but I think I asked it the wrong way ㅠㅠ Anyway, after I came out, the consultant explained things overall, but she didn’t really explain aftercare and things like that properly (she kept talking about booking), so I asked her to explain more about the care part, but she kind of answered halfheartedly? and quickly, then moved on, so that part was a bit disappointing.. If she had appealed more about the hospital’s strengths and explained them, I think I would have considered booking more, but I could feel that she just wanted me to make a same-day reservation quickly, so that didn’t feel great ㅜ The diagnosis I received was Motiva/Mentor Xtra choice 335–360 cc + transaxillary incision + dual plane.
2. ㄱㄹ The first hospital that explained breast surgery side effects to me. The director felt like he was giving the best possible diagnosis for my current breast condition? It seemed like he was saying I shouldn’t hope for anything beyond that.. He recommended 300 cc, so I asked if I couldn’t go up to 335, and he flatly said no. Because I have pectus excavatum and my breasts are also positioned somewhat high, he said if I did that, the upper fullness would become too severe and the ideal shape I had in mind wouldn’t come out. At the hospital I consulted at before, I was told it would just turn out well no matter what, so I was a little confused. Still, when I looked at his eyes, he seemed really confident, so I thought that must be right. I asked the consultant things I was curious about, like what happens to the breasts in this case? If side effects happen, do they definitely have to be removed? and so on. The consultant showed me various surgical materials and explained in great detail that in those cases this happens, that kind of surgery would be needed, the hospital would take these measures, and because it is lifetime aftercare/warranty, the director would definitely perform one revision surgery free of charge.. and so on. I learned a lot of things I hadn’t known, and it actually made me think I shouldn’t decide on breast surgery too hastily or lightly. I really felt, “This is what a consultation is.” There was no talk at all of making a same-day booking, and they advised me to think about it really carefully, and even after considering all the risks, if I still really want breast surgery, it wouldn’t be too late to do it then; go to many consultations and think it over << since they advised me like this, I felt they were a really honest? hospital, and I understood why the director set the cc amount so conservatively. (They said the larger you go, the higher the chance of side effects, the higher the chance of not being satisfied aesthetically, and that all leads to revision surgery.) The diagnosis I received was Motiva 300 cc + inframammary incision + dual plane.
Maybe because I only went to two places, the diagnoses were different, and the hospital styles, consultation content, and details were all different, so it feels a bit too early to decide yet. I plan to look around at more places and think about it. Honestly, now I’ve even started wondering whether getting surgery is the right thing for me.. I don’t think I’m ready to get surgery right away, and I think it’s right to first seriously reflect on whether I can have surgery and become happy before worrying about which hospital to choose haha
I thought once I had consultations, I would definitely get surgery, but I didn’t expect it to turn out the opposite.. lol It’s not easy..
