First, speaking about my 1-year review, I am satisfied with LASEK. While reading LASEK reviews, the one that resonated with me most said that whether it is LASEK or LASIK, after vision correction surgery, the quality of vision feels like seeing the world in 720p instead of high resolution, and that is accurate. Since the cornea is irradiated with a laser, it seems difficult for the laser to irradiate 100% perfectly, and as it deviates slightly, the quality of vision seems to drop.
I heard many people say LASEK hurts, but for me it was completely painless. It did not hurt at all, but I lived with my eyes closed for 3-5 days, so it was a bit inconvenient.
Even now, I still use artificial tears, and when I sleep I apply Duratears eye ointment. In the morning my eyes feel dry and stiff, so if I were to count side effects, they would be glare/halos, dry eye syndrome, and decreased quality of vision.
