Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

My 5th revision rhinoplasty, with autologous dermis and no implant, 2 months post-op

This is my 5th nose surgery in total. At first, I didn’t know anything and had surgery with silicone, and I lived fine for 10 years without any issues. But the nose shape looked too old-fashioned, so in 2018, to improve the shape, I was introduced to a place in Seoul that said they specialized in revision rhinoplasty, and I had revision surgery there. But that so-called Seoul revision rhinoplasty specialty hospital completely ruined my nose. At the time, even though it looked fine on the outside, inside my nose there was a severe inflammatory reaction from silicone complications, but they still wrapped skin around silicone again and put it in, made the center of my nose and even my nostrils uneven, and then the hospital told me to have another revision in 2019. Without thinking, I had surgery again, and they completely messed up my previously normal nose to the point where it could no longer be touched by any surgery other than autologous dermis. They even recommended a 3rd revision again. That was when I snapped out of it and started looking into other hospitals. Other hospitals told me that if I had simply come after the first surgery, it could have been revised easily, but because the place that called itself a Seoul revision rhinoplasty specialty hospital operated on me several times in a short period, they ruined the inside of my perfectly fine nose and made the surgery costs skyrocket. So after consulting at different hospitals, I heard everywhere that after being operated on multiple times, the skin on my nasal bridge and nasal tip had become thin, so surgery would be difficult unless it was with autologous dermis. Since I was going to do it anyway, I decided to go to a place that was best at autologous dermis and had a lot of experience, so I looked into a hospital specializing in autologous dermis and had my 5th revision rhinoplasty. I am currently 2 months post-op from autologous dermis surgery, and I’m writing a few words so others don’t just go somewhere based on an introduction like I did and waste money, time, mental energy, and emotional suffering. My current nose condition is so comfortable that it can’t even be compared to silicone, and it feels like my own nose. Please keep in mind that because of the nature of dermis, this is still the “avatar” period when looking at it. If you’re curious about the hospital name, send me a message and I’ll send it to you. What I regret so much is that if I had known about autologous dermis surgery right after my first nose surgery in 2008, back in 2018, I wouldn’t have gone through all this hardship... It’s such a shame.
