I had surgery at 10 on Tuesday. I arrived a little less than an hour before the surgery time, signed the surgical consent form and various post-op documents, then met the director before surgery and had a thorough consultation about what I was curious about, what I hoped would improve, and what I was worried about. After that, we marked the line and I moved to the operating room.
It was done under sedation anesthesia + local anesthesia, and when the sedation ended, I could hear the director's voice and the clinic staff's voices. There was also a bit of a smell like burning squid, and during the surgery, following the director's instructions, I repeatedly opened my eyes, closed them, and opened them wide. When I felt my skin being pulled, I thought, 'Ah, the surgery is almost over now,' and although I could feel it, it wasn't unbearably painful!
After all the surgery was over, before I got up, the director showed me the line in a mirror, saying that from his view it seemed to have come out nicely and asking what I thought. I was satisfied too, but because of the anesthesia I couldn't answer clearly and just fumbled through my reply.
After that, I think I spent about 1-2 hours sleeping continuously in the recovery room. I couldn't see the clock, so it's hard to confirm, but I kept lying down while doing cold compresses.
I went in a little after 10, and left for home after 1, so I think the surgery itself probably took about an hour.
Even after coming home, I kept doing cold compresses, and although there wasn't much swelling at first, from the evening until the next day the swelling was hugeㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ The bruising also got worseㅠㅠ For me, I think day 2 was the worst.
The day after surgery, I visited once for disinfection, and based on the day after surgery, the stitches should be removed on day 7, but I couldn't make time then, so I decided to have the stitches removed in the latest afternoon slot on day 6. The surgical method was an in-out line, removing sagging skin and fat, and doing a full incisional double eyelid surgery. In photos, my left eye looked bigger, so there was one more stitch there too. I had heard all about it before surgery, and it was something I already knew... The director also said he would match the symmetry as much as possible, but that 100% might be difficult, so I had the surgery taking that into account. Still, now that the swelling is going down unevenly, I am a little worried.
Today, day 3, I have to go to work due to circumstances. I'm planning to cover it as much as possible with glasses while working, and personally, I think you should rest for at least one week.
