People say men should look at male reviews and women should look at female reviews, but I just looked at everything without really filtering. I compared a lot to see the skill itself, and compared with other clinics to figure out which director had the aesthetic sense of, “I wish my surgery would turn out like this” lol
As for reputation itself... Honestly, it was not something I wanted to trust completely, but this community seemed to write things relatively honestly and felt trustworthy, so it was the part I referred to the most. I focused more on bad reviews than good reviews and checked whether the issues were things I could handle. What you need to remember is that the reputation posts written here are not everything... They are very subjective, and since people can write freely, that person just felt and thought that way. There were also parts that actually felt good to me when I went there. That was how it was. Online research is not everything. You have to visit clinics in person... I felt that strongly, yep
For the nasal tip, I used donated costal cartilage. I went back and forth about whether to mix septal cartilage with donated costal cartilage or use septal cartilage, and after final design discussion with the director right before surgery, we decided to use donated costal cartilage alone. Through this, I felt that I needed to check what materials could be used to create the shape I wanted, and that I should filter out clinics that insist on septal cartilage/ear cartilage or unconditionally push autologous costal cartilage. I am not some hospital test subject, and only doing the surgeries they personally feel confident in... I judged that was not quite right... lol The surgeon should build their own skills and do the surgery according to what the patient wants. That is why I thought people do not set “an experienced director” as a criterion for no reason.
I am more meticulous than others, and I have the kind of personality that analyzes things to get the best possible outcome, but I did not know this would work as a good strength when looking into plastic surgery lol Since it is surgery that puts an implant into the body, you never know what will happen even one step ahead... Still, I chose and went to a clinic that seemed able to produce results within a range that would not go too far outside expectations, and I am fairly satisfied now. My nasal tip has also gotten longer and the hump is gone, so it is much more presentable lol
