Before<Before>After<After>After<After>After<After - front view> Should I say my nose had a Western look? ㅠ… It was a bit bumpy and uneven, with the nasal tip feeling upturned, like an upturned nose?? That kind of style. I had a hump on the nasal bridge too, so I wanted to address that at the same time and get a soft nose like Min Hyo-rin's ㅜㅜ style, with a straight-to-slightly-curved line and a semi-beoseon? feel, so I decided to have surgery.
Since it was my first surgery, there was so much I didn't know, and even when I heard explanations about what materials to use and what line to make, I couldn't really understand them. Still, I wanted to do it properly, so I looked up this and that and went for consultations at hospitals.
I really wanted to avoid the nasal tip drooping + I wanted the shape refined beautifully, so my goal was to choose autologous costal cartilage instead of donated rib cartilage and make my nose stand out nicely! … After surgery, I’m definitely happiest that the bumpy, uneven Western-looking feel of my old nose has clearly improved from both the front and side views haha. They said the swelling will still go down more and the shape will settle further, so I’m going to wait happily. I’m carefully managing the autologous costal cartilage donor site. The early pain was pretty severe, but now, other than waiting for it to fully heal, I don’t suddenly get major pain or anything!! I’m relieved that the donor-site scar was minimal too.
