For 3 months after surgery, you have to wear a sports bra, but at my hospital visit 1 month after surgery, they said I could also wear a seamless bra, so I alternated between the sports bra and seamless bra. They put a sports bra on me right after surgery, and it wasn’t uncomfortable. The surgical area was closed with Dermabond, so from the day after surgery I could shower for about 15 minutes, which felt refreshing. When showering, there was no support from the sports bra, so my breasts moved and there was a little pain. I supported my breasts with one hand and finished easily with the other. My hands couldn’t go all the way above my head, so I couldn’t shampoo thoroughly, but from around 1 week, as things gradually improved, I could do it as usual. Until 3-4 days after surgery, I slept sitting on the sofa or lying down with cushions under my upper body, but it wasn’t that uncomfortable. Dermabond is supposed to be left to come off on its own, and mine came off naturally around 2 weeks. I heard wounds can become inflamed or indented, but unless you have a keloid tendency, I think the surgeon’s skill has a 100% effect. So you really have to get it done somewhere with a surgeon who is good at surgery! Even without any special ointment or procedure, the color has faded now and I’m living without pain.
Only a few close acquaintances and my husband know, but they say it looks so natural that people wouldn’t know unless I said so. My husband was against the surgery at first, but now he really likes it. He touches them when passing by, and even opens the door while I’m showering to look, which startles me. When I went to a year-end gathering, a friend couldn’t say anything and just kept glancing at my breasts, which secretly made me feel good. Getting looks like, “Was her chest always this big? She doesn’t seem to have gained weight, but her breasts got bigger?” made me think the surgery really turned out naturally and well.
There are precautions after surgery, and many people say you have to manage things carefully, so I was worried, but I was so glad that I didn’t need any special care. As expected, skill is important in surgery, so I realized you really have to do it at a hospital that is good at it. And as expected, compared with other cosmetic surgeries, recovery was fast, so I could do it without much burden, and my satisfaction is so high. Even 1,000,000% feels too little.
