<Facial contouring consultations> These days, it seems most plastic surgery clinics allow CCTV viewing, and an anesthesiologist director is on-site. It differs by clinic, but I heard some places show it sped up or after editing, so I think it’s best to check carefully! I visited 6 places for consultations, and I’m planning to go to ㅅㄷ.
1. ㅌㅋ Osteotomy method - diamond-shaped T osteotomy Advancement length - up to 5-6 mm Chin-tip reduction length - 2-3 mm Surgery: advancement + chin length reduction + cortical bone shaving + muscle tightening -> 1. Recommended advancement + fat grafting 2. Did not recommend deep cheek fat removal 3. Said that with an ㅅ osteotomy, only the narrowest part of the chin can protrude, causing insufficient mandibular body volume 4. I didn’t know what cortical bone shaving was, and asked whether touching the bone more would be bad, but they didn’t explain cortical bone shaving and spoke rather strongly, saying if I didn’t want to do it then don’t, but they were telling me to do it 5. They explain well, but ask a lot of questions -> If what I want isn’t clear and I don’t know my own face well, it’s hard to answer -> The director must have a preferred style, but didn’t say it, so it was hard to predict how my face would turn out **Other reviews said they did before-and-after comparison Photoshop, but there was none; they only roughly marked it with a board marker** **No push for a deposit, but even with event discounts the price was higher than other places; they said if I placed a deposit and canceled once, there would be no discounts in the future**
2. ㄴㅌ Osteotomy method - wide ㅅ osteotomy Advancement length - 3-4 mm Reduction length - 6 mm? (I was incorrectly told 60 mm) Surgery: advancement + chin length reduction -> 1. There was no discussion about cortical bone shaving 2. Additional charge for liposuction or double muscle tightening 3. The consultation with the director was okay, but the facial contouring of the consultant manager who counseled me was so botched that I canceled the surgery booking 4. The desk staff who did the examination was unbelievably rude; it felt like they wouldn’t pay much attention even after surgery 5. The consultation ended quickly, there was quite a wait, and information such as advancement/osteotomy/reduction during surgery was not communicated When I asked via KakaoTalk, I was incorrectly told they would reduce 60 mm **They pushed for a deposit, and the price was the same as ㅌㅋ**

The wait was quite long, and the consultant manager talked at length about things unrelated to the surgery 2. The consultation with the director was short; I was told my nerve line was average 3. It’s known for being expensive, but it was better than the other places; the manager was okay, but hard to reach -> then they suddenly said she had left the clinic 4. Information was not communicated well **Strong push for a deposit, staff were kind**
4. ㅈㅇㅈ (I visited first because I heard it was famous, but it was the most disappointing clinic) Osteotomy method - basic T osteotomy Advancement length - 8 mm Reduction length - no front chin reduction, side chin 2 mm Surgery: advancement + side chin reduction -> 1. They said reduction was not possible because my nerve line is low 2. They said to do maximum advancement + reduce only the side chin 3. Director consultation within 1-2 minutes -> it was a female director, and she seemed annoyed by consultation/questions, so I could only ask 2 questions 4. Additional charges for cortical bone shaving, digastric muscle tightening, etc. *Strong push for a deposit; even though it was event price + 1 procedure, they quoted a very high price* - > Every place except this clinic said that if I don’t reduce the length and only reduce the side chin, the mandibular body volume will sag
5. ㅇㄱㅇ ㅈㅅ Osteotomy method - T osteotomy Advancement length - 3-4 mm Length reduction - 2-3 mm Width reduction - 10-15 mm Surgery: advancement + chin length reduction + side chin reduction -> 1. It seems they do not separately do double-chin muscle tightening or cortical bone shaving 2. I was also recommended long-curve square jaw surgery 3. They said my nerve line is not on the low side 4. The director is young, has good experience, and despite being a new clinic, the reviews are quite good 5. Maybe because it hasn’t been long, the manual/system doesn’t seem very structured 6. 6. ㅇㅇㄷ Osteotomy method - ㅅ osteotomy Advancement length - 7-8 mm Length reduction - they said it would be decided on the day of surgery Width reduction - almost none Surgery: advancement + length reduction + square jaw + cortical bone shaving + cheekbone -> 1. They recommended a wide ㅅ osteotomy 2. My left bone is a little larger and there is asymmetry, so they suggested cortical bone shaving only on the left side 3. They recommended square jaw and long-curve surgery together 4. No discussion of nerve line or bone thickness 5. I was also recommended cheekbone cortical bone shaving...... -> I don’t have cheekbones..... 6. The director is famous and specializes in two-jaw surgery, so they recommended two-jaw surgery, but when I said I wanted facial contouring, they said they would consult for contouring The consultation wasn’t long, and they seemed a bit annoyed by questions; they answered aggressively to questions that a patient would naturally be curious about or ask because they didn’t know 7. They did not mention the number of surgeries per day or CCTV 8. The price was absurdly high; based on 2 facial contouring procedures, it was over 10 million won 9. I went with an appointment, but waited over 2 hours^^ **While waiting, I saw post-surgery bone photos in the lobby, and it looked like they remove bone cleanly**
I still have consultations left at ㅅㄷ and ㅂㄹㅇ, and I currently have a surgery date booked at one place, but,, I’m still conflicted, so I plan to get the remaining consultations and then decide. I’m so, so scared I’ll end up with a witch’s chin, and even though it’s chin advancement, I’m scared my mandibular body volume will disappear ㅠㅠㅠ I’ve struggled with a retruded chin since middle school, and I was shocked when my closest friend said I looked like a turtle/snail. Since I’m approaching my mid-20s, the feeling that my face looks long is getting stronger, so this time I really want to get surgery,,, If anyone has clinics they recommend, please let me know!
