As I got older, my skin elasticity decreased and I lost cheek fat, so the cheekbones I had never cared about when I was younger kept bothering me ㅠ As my face became what people commonly call a peanut-shaped face, even though I like taking photos, the flaws stood out so much… Since I live outside Seoul, I could only visit 3-4 places for consultations, but after visiting this plastic surgery clinic, I thought about it for a few days, booked right away, and did not look around anywhere else :)
Director Kwon Jae-hyun consulted with me for about an hour, and he answered every question so meticulously and kindly. I sincerely felt that he was thinking from the patient’s perspective without overtreatment. This is TMI, but .. when going around for hospital consultations, sometimes the directors’ hands smell like cigarettes, and although it can’t be helped, it sometimes felt a bit uncomfortable. This was mentioned a lot in reviews too, but Director Kwon Jae-hyun’s hands smelled really nice, so I liked that even more..
I am on the older side, so I only had one-type cheekbone surgery, but even while having the surgery, I was very worried about side effects like sagging or nonunion.. ㅠㅠㅠ I even told my parents about the surgery on the morning of the surgery day, so they almost fainted, but when they saw the director once at the follow-up check, they immediately felt reassured and said they trusted him, so they did not say much .. lol My family is really conservativeㅠ
After surgery, the swelling was more than I expected even though it was only one type, but it goes down faster than you might think. Especially in winter, the more you go outside and walk, the faster it goes down ㅠ I work from home, so I barely had any activity, and because I am older it was hard, so I just lay down for a week, but the swelling still went down very well.
For food, it was hard to brush my teeth for the week before stitch removal, so I mostly drank New Care, then melted bread or desserts in milk to eat them. Please absolutely do not eat as many sweets as I did.. haha I suffered because I got cavities ㅠㅠㅠ If you just do what the hospital tells you, you will not make things hard for yourself like I did..
For swelling care, I think walking is the best >>> cold/warm compresses = supplements, about that level. For supplements, I bought and took One Quick, and it worked well. From the second month, I have been drinking 100% undiluted old pumpkin juice, and it is better than not taking it! For cold/warm compresses, the hospital said the pack they gave me would burst if I microwaved it, but I am very curious, so I microwaved it and it burst..>< On Coupang, reusable loess heat packs are around 10,000 won and can be reused endlessly, so I recommend them!
Before surgery, I only told my family and a small number of acquaintances, and now the people who know I had surgery say, wow, it turned out really natural ㅎㅎ By natural, they do not mean there is no effect, but that I became prettier naturally without that artificial, “plastic surgery monster”-like look!
I especially feel that my face looks much smoother when I take photos! Oh, and the reason I worried about cheekbone surgery was that my face is already long, so I wondered if shaving down the cheekbones would make it look even longer ㅠ But that did not happen at all. Since my facial line simply became much smoother, it actually looks less long!
The hospital has a good aftercare program, but since I live outside Seoul ㅜ I use a radiofrequency device at home once every 2-3 days, and it helps a lot! And lastly, the consultation manager is so nice ㅜ She responds even better after surgery..! One time, she even replied on the hospital’s day off (I did not know it was a day off when I contacted her ㅠㅠ You should not contact them on days off ;ㅅ;)
