I went in planning to get double eyelid surgery, and the consultant said it would look really good if I did my forehead too, so I ended up doing it. If I hadn’t already had some interest in it, I wouldn’t have done it, but it was something I’d been concerned about anyway, and it was convenient to do it together while I was under anesthesia once, so I just went for itㅋㅋ
Right after the first procedure, my forehead was so swollen like a head-butting dinosaur, and I obviously looked like someone who had plastic surgery, so I hated it so much that I didn’t even care about my eyes. But as the swelling gradually went down, it got better. Still, for about a year, I had mild facial swelling + the graft was still settling, so my forehead looked rounded.
Looking at old photos now, I can see I also had mild swelling at the tip of my nose. Now that 3 years have passed, some friends say a lot has gone down and ask if I need to do it again, but when I compare it with old photos, my forehead has filled in really naturally, so I’m satisfied. Now nobody knows I had forehead fat grafting.
For reference, maybe because I make a lot of facial expressions, areas like above the eyebrows and between the eyebrows did lose quite a bit. There is a slight difference between the right and left sides, but unless you look really closely, it just feels like normal facial asymmetry, so it doesn’t bother me. For those planning to do it, I think it may be good to get forehead Botox first and then do it~
