<After surgery / before><After surgery / before>Finally, after getting the nose surgery I had wanted since I was young, I came to write a review! For someone like me who only knew about cosmetic surgery through the ㅂㅂㅌ and ㄱㄴㅇㄴ apps, this community helped me so much, so I’m writing this review hoping it helps others too!!:)
For my nose surgery, I had it done under semi-sedation(?) First I was asleep, then I woke up in the middle and had the surgery while I was conscious but groggy. Of course, it didn’t hurt at all during the surgery haha. I also went to a one-doctor clinic, and since I was in a semi-sedated state and conscious, I even exchanged a few words with the director during the operation, so I wasn’t worried about a substitute doctor, ghost doctor? or CCTV, and had the surgery!
After the nose surgery was finished and I was lying in the recovery room, the director personally came to the recovery room and explained in an easy-to-understand way how the surgery was done and how it was finished, so I felt reassured and went home.
After that, day 3 before removing the nasal packing was hell My tooth pain was so, so severe that I wanted to smash all my teeth After the packing was removed, it got somewhat better and I felt like I could live again.
Until day 7 before removing the stitches and splint, they told me not to touch either the inside or outside of my nose, but I cut a few pieces of nose tape and got scolded by the nurse,, everyone, absolutely do not touch it,,
At both post-op visits, they gave me swelling laser treatment, and I continued seeing the director for progress checks. And the nurses, desk staff, and director were all kindness itself.
During my nose consultation, they said my nasal bridge was on the high side and I had a hump on the bridge, so it would be better to do it without an implant. They said that for me, putting in silicone would actually be more difficult, more expensive, and carry greater surgical risk. They said it would look like Avatar! So I just left all the design to the director and only told them what I wanted (I hoped my nostrils wouldn’t show from the front, and that my lifted nasal tip would come down)!
Without an implant, I used septal cartilage and ear cartilage.
And the reason I looked for a one-doctor clinic was that large hospitals just,, naturally got filtered out for me. They say they recommend a director who suits you, but it felt like they were letting doctors with short careers build surgical experience, so I didn’t even consider them haha.
After the surgery, the director said my septum was really completely crushed, like someone who had been injured when they were very young, so I got really scared. But once the splint came off, my worries were truly useless
After splint removal, I developed an incurable disease of constantly taking side-profile photos,,
People around me opposed it before surgery, saying my original nose wasn’t bad either and asking why I was doing surgery, but after surgery, everyone said it was good that I did it and were really surprised, asking if my nose had originally been that upturned. Of course, I was also so surprised when I saw the comparison photos. I was like, how did I live with a nose like that,,
For people who are stressed because of their nose shape, I think just doing it is the answer. If you have any questions, leave a comment and I’ll answer based on my experience!!
Once the residual swelling goes down now, it’ll look even more natural, right??
