I really think facial contouring surgery is all about time, seriously lol It has been exactly 6 months since I had facial contouring, you know? I’ll leave explanations on the photos, so look at them by week/month. From the moment I decided to get facial contouring until the surgery, I’ll try to write in as much detail as possible about the thoughts I had and the emotional stress I went through lololol Right now, I’m extremely satisfied and living happily lol
**Before surgery First of all, my square jaw was really quite severe, so I was extremely stressed. Especially when viewed from the front, my whole face looked very angular and square. My cheekbones were an issue and my retruded chin was an issue too, but the square jaw stressed me out so much ㅠ I had wanted to get facial contouring for a long time, but because of the cost + fear, I had only been thinking about it. Then an acquaintance said they got 2 types through an event for around 4 million won and that it was more tolerable than expected, so I think I asked for information and went for a consultation.
**Consultation I felt that facial contouring surgery was not as expensive as I had expected. The place I went to was a large clinic, so I think it was less expensive than a regular clinic. (It may differ by clinic.) I wanted my square jaw to definitely become slimmer, and because of the cost + the thought of “is it really necessary?” for the cheekbones, I wanted 2 types. The director said satisfaction would be higher with 3 types, but if I only wanted 2 types, that would not be bad either. (To be honest, that gave me trust at the time, but now that I think about it, I just wish I had done 3 types ㅠ)
**Surgery I seriously could not sleep at all the night before surgery, and before going into the operating room, my body was trembling like crazy. Even when changing clothes, I was really shaking. I was so sleepy that I wanted to sleep, but I was still trembling. It may just be because I’m a scaredy-cat, but I was genuinely terrified. People who have had facial contouring will understand.
**After surgery My face was really extremely swollen. It felt like there were wounds inside my mouth + my throat felt scratchy. I was hospitalized for one day and discharged, and honestly, it was a bit hard at that point ㅠ I was really touched by how sincerely? carefully? the nurses took care of me. I’m selectively F, but that day I became super F lol It wasn’t as painful as I had imagined, but what was hard was still hard lol
**Week 1 I was going back and forth to the clinic getting various care, but the swelling was not going down as much as I expected, so I started getting anxious. I was really upset. I had paid several million won for surgery and even used my vacation time to recover, but it felt like there was no effect at all, so I kept asking the consultant a lot, and even when I went for follow-ups, I was truly anxious. Still, when I went for walks, I sprayed the dry shampoo they gave me and thought, “At least it smells nice,” while doing it lololololol I think I actually searched for facial contouring reviews even more diligently then than before surgery. I think it was because I couldn’t get a sense of whether what I was feeling was a side effect or not.
**Month 1 Even after reaching 1 month, I felt like nothing had improved at all, whether it was swelling or something else, so my distress reached its peak. At that time, I was so angry that I seriously debated writing a post in this community lololol I was saying to people around me, “There’s no effect at all, what kind of facial contouring surgery is this?” and cursed a lot. I feel like I was honestly a huge difficult patient to the consultant, but she really listened well and comforted me, so I’m still so grateful ㅜ
**Month 3 From about two months and two weeks? onward, I could clearly feel that my face had become slimmer when I looked in the mirror. Because the swelling gradually goes down, you might not recognize it yourself, but if you take photos and collect them, it definitely gets slimmer little by little. Right when I reached month 3, I had become very slim, and from the front, the slim jawline I had imagined slowly started to appear. People around me started interrogating me, asking if I lost weight, what I did, and why I had become prettier, so I felt somewhat proud.
**Month 6 Now that all the swelling has gone down, I’m really satisfied. To the point that I feel sorry to the director and consultant for how distressed I was and how difficult I acted until now... lolol If there is really one thing I’m disappointed about, I just think I should have pushed myself and done 3 types. Because my lower face became so slim, my cheekbones started bothering me lololol Everyone, if you’re debating between 3 types and 2 types and the only reason you’re choosing 2 types is money, then just... do 3 types. Still, I’m extremely satisfied, and it was my own choice, so I have no regrets!
