My eyesight had been bad since elementary school, and I had LASEK around my mid-20s. I just did it near my company, and at the time I paid about 900,000 won through something like a cafe event. Both LASIK and LASEK were possible, but because I had astigmatism and my cornea was uneven, LASEK was recommended.
The progress was good enough that I met friends 3 days after surgery. I didn’t really have pain either? I just remember sleeping at home...ㅎ My pre-existing dry eye got worse, and for about the first year, glare/halos were really severe. Even now, when I’m tired, the fatigue goes straight to my eyes and it’s hard, but if I only talk about the result, I think I’m glad I did it. (I don’t remember the days when I wore glasses at all...ㅎ;) I had a health checkup recently, and my vision came out as 1.0 / 1.2. They said this level of difference between the two eyes is common, so I’m not too concerned.
But since the price is from almost 10 years ago, it’s probably very different now.
